I've been stubborn about buying a new curling iron and OMG I really regret waiting so long! This iron grabs hair so smoothly and never leaves a frayed end. I can only describe it as smooth.. it's so nice. I'm not even sure how it does it, but it's so smooth when it grabs hairs and it curls beautifully. Like: for me the tip is adequate to hold or rest my fingers on. Temp is adjustable. Warms up fast. Doesn’t feel like it’s damaging my hair. Curls. Gives your hair volume. Curling iron looks professional. Comes with holder. Pretty much what I expected. Dislike: curls didn’t stay really well. I have shoulder length hair. They ended up more like beach waves. BUT I didn’t use a bunch of hairspray so that could be why. I also maybe needed to use a higher heat which can impact how well curls stay. I only used a heat protectant with no hold. This is a fantastic curling iron. Love the digital temperature as I have damaged hair and am always careful to use hot tools at a lower temp- 300 degrees. Curls are quick, smooth and last for days. It feels well made and produces soft curls. Love

I absolutely love my chi curling iron. These really last like forever. I had one of these for probably 8 yrs and the cord finally had it last days so I ordered a new curling iron. This brand never disappoints. Heats up so quickly and the extended barrel is perfect. I highly recommend.

For the price, I'd expect this thing to be amazing. I have a cheap Conair digital curler that creates a longer lasting curl and actually holds hair while trying to curl it. Main two issues with this curler: it doesn't grab hair very well, so when trying to hold an initial portion of the strand, hair slips out of it, it's annoying as about 30% of the time this happens. Secondly, the curl doesn't hold longer than any other curler I've tried. Pros: heats up FAST. The swivel cord is actually easy swivel and this thing is great to hold and maneuver around. I also dislike the heating mat, it's clunky and not very useful. I'd rather prefer one of those heat guard sleeves instead of this mat. I returned this curler and kept my cheap one as the end result is the same. In fact, the conair curler gives me a longer lasting curl. ... show more
