I think if I poured all of these into a measuring cup, they would measure about 1/2 cup. If you spread them out one stone deep, they fill up about a 7" - 8" circle. They're very pretty, but to use them as a bed for your flower pots, you'd have to buy a lot of packages. I think they'd be more appropriage for smaller jobs.

I'm new to gems so all I can tell you is that they're really pretty. My girlfriend even spotted a couple unakite chips! I use them in jewelry, so I like getting a few random ones. And it's was only 3-4 in the whe bag so it's not a big deal to pick them out if you do t want. I bought one bag to try them out, and I'm about to fill my cart up with the others I scouted!

This product was much smaller in size than I expected. I estimated a half a pound of very small pebbles (as said in other reviews) was going to be much lighter and yield much more stones. However all I got were small stones in a small plastic bag the size of a little less than half of a ziplock bag. I bought this product to use as drainage in my plant pots. The pictures posted with this product misleading since it showed a plant pot filled with these stones and excess on the side. I recognize that it was a small cactus pot, however I still expected a half a pound to be much more. This may be a fault on my side but at the same time this bag is much smaller than my hand. Normally I’d return but I do not want to drive all the way to a shipment office and talk to slow depressed workers in order to return a small bag. However if you do not mind if the product is a little overpriced for the amount you receive it’s a good quality product, just be sure to rinse the product with a little water to get best results. (Product may be a little dusty from the stones during shipment)
