After reading the many positive reviews, I bought this jewelry cleanser for my fine and costume jewelry. I used without a sonic machine. I followed the instructions and left the pieces in the solution for 15 to 20 minutes. It worked really well. It cleaned a couple of pieces that were really really tarnished! I’m very satisfied with this cleaner! I believe that with repeated use, the couple of really tarnished pieces will become even better.     • low foaming solution for Ultrasonic machine takes years of grime off jewelry
Fantastic, I bought this to test out a new to me ultrasonic cleaner. I used as suggested and it worked great. My jewelry that I placed in the machine with this cleaner had not been cleaned for a decade. This took off years of oxidation and left my silver charm bracelet shiny. The bottle was sealed well when I received it. The suggested amount for an ultrasonic machine is four capfuls, I will likely be able to use this cleaner for a couple years. I don't wear jewelry except on special occasions, other than my silver hoops that are never removed. It's nice knowing I have something that works and works quickly on those infrequent days when I want to pull out some jewelry that has been sitting in a drawer for years and quickly clean it up. This is a low foaming solution so it doesn't foam over when used in an ultrasonic machine. On some more hardy jewelry I am sure you could use a little on a toothbrush to touch up the little nooks and crannies, however, it is most useful in the machine. The solution after only one use looked like I was emptying a used mop bucket. I guess I probably should set aside a day at least once a year to clean the few pieces I own. I didn't notice a scent to this solution, so I assume it is not offensive. I rinsed the solution off once I pulled it out of the machine and dried the piece with a soft cloth. A friend recommended I get an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner, so I snagged one on Amazon and started perusing cleaning solutions to use with it. This got good reviews and was well priced, so I ordered. This seems to work well, it’s not magic but definitely helps loosen the gunk off of old or used jewelry and shine it up.
