This CONNOISSEURS Premium Edition Jewelry Cleaner is intended to clean metal jewelry, such as silver. It is not specifically for gemstones. Place your necklace, bracelet, ring, or earrings in the jar, close the top and lightly swish. Wait a few minutes and then remove each piece of jewelry and use the soft brush that's enclosed. Rinse thoroughly and dry each piece. You'll be delighted with how tarnish and dirt disappear. This is a very effective product for cleaning metal jewelry. While I haven't seen leakage from the jar, I keep it in a plastic bag in case there should ever be a problem. But, I've had no leaks. ... show more
