I received this product for my desk display. The feature that I like the most about this building set is that I can go back and change the blocks for each season, so it is not a static display but a more dynamic model. The blocks are small and take a little time to put together. The blocks went together smoothly, but the instructions could have been printed better to provide a little more up-close detail. Some of the steps were so vague that I ended up guessing and playing to chance.

Packaging : The set comes in a well decorated box containing numbered bags (1-6) and an instruction book. Instructions : The instructions are well divided into phases ; the bonsai and its pot, the 3 different options for the foliage (I built it in the fall colors), and the stand. (The gravel in the pot is technically a phase, but ... it's just 'pour this in', so.) Parts quality : There's no flaws with how the parts fit together, although the plastic used is not a great feeling one to build with. Set design : The set is honestly very well designed, and the three options for foliage are a nice touch. Overall thoughts : -1 star for having an uncomfortable feel in the hands while building it. Otherwise, perfectly fine set.

Lovely tree! Fun to do! Easy to assemble. There are other building sets that attach the pot to the stand so it’s really nice that the stand is separate from the pot. I got it because it has the different leaf colors. It’s autumn now so I have it orange.. I may add a 2 or 3 green leaves for contrast. Multiple bags per step. You will need to empty all the bags for each step. Step 1 is the Pot and Tree. Step 2 Pink option. Step 3 Green option. Step 4 Orange option. Step 5 Stand Step 6 Rocks. You can pre-build the other color leaves then easily swap them when the seasons change. I would recommend this bonsai tree I think it’s the prettiest on Amazon and ! It’s prettier than the famous brand name (famous brand uses pink frogs..Frogs!!) so if you don’t want frogs as flowers then this is a great option. :)

The building set came in a box so pretty that I could immediately gift it without any wrap. The set is 3 in 1 Sakura Bonsai aka the miniature plants in pots which are popular in Japan and China. You can build the Bonsai in green, pink or yellow resembling the plant's seasonal color changes. The finished product can be used as a home decor. While it is similar but noticeably different from the Bonsai building set of a leading brand, this building set is equally beautify to gift and equally fun to build.

Cherry Blossom Bonsai 1229PCS This was a great little set that will not take long to build. A good presentable box. It has numbered bags, easy to follow instructions & there were no missing pieces. Not unlike the 'Lego Bonsai tree' it has options for the 'leaves', in this case three color options. It does not however use 'frogs' as substitute flowers like the original Lego set! So, I actually like this one better! It has a good shape to the canopy in the pictured cherry blossom configuration, the tree, stand, whole thing looks great. Overall, really good. Thank you.

Quite the unique building set here. Always like bonsai, so was happy to check this one out. The pieces are all well made enough for what they are. Seem pretty close in quality to the name brand. Parts all fit together fine and lock together well. Instructions are also quality with step by step and good details. I also greatly appreciate they have the build in steps with bags that are divided up and labeled with numbers for each section. Sure makes it easier to build it. Really like this, good price, would recommend.
