I have read a couple negative reviews on this and thought I would chime in as I have been using JetSeal for several years and swear by it. Some of the claims are that it does not last. I have no idea how they applied it to get that result, but can attest that my son-in laws black truck, that I clay barred, black light polished and finished with 2 coats of JetSeal has lasted a year and a half and the water is still beading up. (Black light is a chemical guys product for dark paints and is awesome). I would wager that previous reviewers did not use a strip soap, or even Dawn to get off any previous car wash waxes, etc. before applying JetSeal and hence the reason they had a bad experience. If you are going to seal your car, do a strip wash to get any old wax or sealer off, then polish if you need to remove scratches, then seal. It is a process, but when done correctly, will create a very lasting finish. I can back up the 12 month claims on this product as I have experienced it first hand on multiple vehicles and now our kids are adults, they also swear by it. BUT.... They prep the surfaces properly to ensure the success of the sealant. --I have even used it on my wife's BMW rims when they were off the car for her winter tires (when we lived in the cold) and it kept those rims clean until the next season. I am a professional detailer. I recently started using this product for a cost effective way to seal the paint after correction. After putting it on my own car, it provides very good protection for about 4 months. After that it starts to lose it’s hydrophobic properties. There are better products out there for overall shine but for the money and ease of application, I would highly recommend this product. ... show more

I recently picked up a jet black 2017 BMW X5. Having owned several black cars over the years I understand how difficult it can be to really make them look good. Based on reviews here at Amazon I decided to give Jet Seal a try. After thoroughly washing and drying the car it was time to begin using the Jet Seal. This is when things got interesting. My 13 year old decided he wanted to give me a hand. I showed him what to do and cut him loose on one side of the car. Using the blue Chemical Guys microfiber applicators made applying the Jet Seal a breeze. We were done in less than 30 minutes. We removed it using the edgeless microfiber towels. I think the result speaks for itself. The car surface is smooth as glass and reflects like a mirror! Now I just have to wait and see how well it holds up to a Midwest fall and winter. ... show more

I have been driving my new, black car for a few weeks now in the unforgiving Florida weather - rain, then blazing heat, plus salt air. It looked dirty constantly, and I knew I needed to protect the finish. I washed and dried the car, applied compound/polish on minor swirl marks and bird dropping damage, then CG's Black Light, then Jet Seal (all by hand). I noticed the slick, deep shine and feel of the paint immediately. Car sat overnight to cure. This morning I drove to work through fog and mist and construction zones. When I got out I could not believe it - my car wasn't just dry, it was spotless. Amazing! I had other cars in the parking lot to compare it to, and only mine was dry and clean. A few hours and more misty weather later, and the cars around mine had moisture sitting on them. But not my car! This stuff works! I expect I'll be reapplying every few months, but it's so easy to do that I don't mind. Highly recommend! I got two of these kits last time they were on sale at this price...and...THIS IS A STEAL!! Jet Seal alone is AWESOME stuff. I don't know about it lasting for a whole year as it claims is possible, but I put it on a couple of my cars and it's been almost three months and I can give them a quick two-bucket method wash and the water still beads and they look like I just treated 'em. To me it's all about protection, not shine and gloss, and this stuff is kickin' butt so far. The microfiber towels are excellent as far as MF towels go and I have no reservations in using them as a final buffer when using the Jet Seal. Just cut the stiff white label off before using and no worries about scratching or creating swirl marks. They seem like they'll be holding up for quite a while. Soft satin edge is well stitched. Like I said, I'm not a "shine and gloss" guy, and wouldn't normally spend extra money just for that effect. But since I did get my wife a really nice low mileage 1990 Mercedes 190E 2.6 (she's really short and this car fits her perfectly) I figured I'd give it the extra effort and polish it up. And at this price it was like getting an expensive wax for free, or at least really cheap depending on what price you can find Jet Seal for. To cut to the chase - I was actually surprised...and impressed. It's not a night and day difference, but the extra bit of shine it added to the Jet Seal was a lot more noticeable than I thought it would be. It just made the old Merc "pop". And sometimes that's all it takes to move something from from "oooh...that's really nice" to "WOW...that's really nice!" Even the applicator pads are quality items. Not the cheap soft foam that would be considered one-time use. Yeah. If I didn't already have enough wax to last me 10 years I'd be ordering this kit. For sure. ... show more
