**This is a completely non-biased review of the Chemical Guys VRP product written on 2/21/23** When I took on the project of restoring my husbands 12v ride-on toy from the 90’s I already knew I wanted to try to use a plastic restoring product BEFORE I even attempted to spray paint it.. this vehicle has been in a shed for years, and sitting unused (because it was broken) out in the Texas sun in my own front yard for at least one year.. so everything was sun bleached and worn to the max! I did a little research and found this product here on Amazon, and let me tell you how EXTREMELY SATISFIED I am with how well this worked! I squirted the product directly on the vehicle parts and spread it with a microfiber cloth. The results were immediate! I used a paintbrush to get around all the corners, then continued wiping with the microfiber cloth till the entire thing was done- it took me about 2hrs to do the whole vehicle (being pretty generous on usage of the product) and I only ended up using half of the bottle! The pictures might be a little blurry.. but the first one is a before & after of the seats. You can see what a difference it made! The second one is half of the steering wheel done & the other half not done- doesn’t look like much in the picture.. but it is night & day in person! The last 2 pics are of the body after it was done and it looks basically new again! Very proud of myself for this restoration, and very glad I chose this product! As any hydrating product- there is a slight residue that was left, but I think if I go back tomorrow after everything soaks in and buff it again with the microfiber cloth it would take it out. Also a few items were veryyyyyyy brittle due to exposure to the Texas heat for the last 30years.. so I let the product sit for a few minutes before wiping and it literally filled the porous surface in, and rehydrated the pieces to be almost smooth! 10/10 recommend! I will try to update in the future on the longevity- since this ride-on toy will be outside and used for years to come! ... show more

I’ve used so many other rubber/trim cleaners/polishers, you name it and I’ve probably used it. This stuff goes on easy and dries beautifully with a satin/matte shine, perfect for those who don’t want that near mirror look on the tires, vinyl, or trim. This stuff lasts too! Won’t wear off in a rainstorm. Very easy to use with an applicator. I recommend two easy coats per tire if you use it as such. Will definitely buy again, but I’ve been Chemical Guys stuff for a while now so it’ll just be added to my list of items I get from them already! ... show more

I never had an issue with a Chemical Guys product. This one is no exception. It leaves a slightly shiny appearance, and does a great job at hiding scuffs on the door plate and other trim. After drying, it doesn't feel sticky or oily to the touch.

It goes on fairly easily, and looks pretty good once applied. It takes a while to dry, and can sometimes leave surfaces slightly oily. It's got a slight black tint to it (don't let the white liquid fool you), so it should really only be applied to darker surfaces.

Purchased this product based off a YouTuber recommendation. Got the sponge applicator pad to go along with this. It does the job, the tires look great and has a fantastic shine to it.
