**This is a completely non-biased review of the Chemical Guys VRP product written on 2/21/23** When I took on the project of restoring my husbands 12v ride-on toy from the 90’s I already knew I wanted to try to use a plastic restoring product BEFORE I even attempted to spray paint it.. this vehicle has been in a shed for years, and sitting unused (because it was broken) out in the Texas sun in my own front yard for at least one year.. so everything was sun bleached and worn to the max! I did a little research and found this product here on Amazon, and let me tell you how EXTREMELY SATISFIED I am with how well this worked! I squirted the product directly on the vehicle parts and spread it with a microfiber cloth. The results were immediate! I used a paintbrush to get around all the corners, then continued wiping with the microfiber cloth till the entire thing was done- it took me about 2hrs to do the whole vehicle (being pretty generous on usage of the product) and I only ended up using half of the bottle! The pictures might be a little blurry.. but the first one is a before & after of the seats. You can see what a difference it made! The second one is half of the steering wheel done & the other half not done- doesn’t look like much in the picture.. but it is night & day in person! The last 2 pics are of the body after it was done and it looks basically new again! Very proud of myself for this restoration, and very glad I chose this product! As any hydrating product- there is a slight residue that was left, but I think if I go back tomorrow after everything soaks in and buff it again with the microfiber cloth it would take it out. Also a few items were veryyyyyyy brittle due to exposure to the Texas heat for the last 30years.. so I let the product sit for a few minutes before wiping and it literally filled the porous surface in, and rehydrated the pieces to be almost smooth! 10/10 recommend! I will try to update in the future on the longevity- since this ride-on toy will be outside and used for years to come!

I did a test on the interior and exterior plastic on my Truck. There was a little bit of rain that night and in the morning I found were streaks all down the side of my truck from this product running. It is of no use on the exterior of a vehicle since it simply washes off both the plastic and rubber parts. The interior use was more pleasant in that it left a nice shine to the plastic components. I do not know the long term wear and tear of this product on interior components yet. Based on the results on the exterior of my vehicle I cannot recommend this product for anything other than interior uses.

Compared to locally, the price of the pack of three (or even just the single bottle) from Amazon is cheaper, and a great deal. The pack of three arrived with one of the bottle's heat seal broken, and a tablespoon or so leaked out, but it's sealed in plastic, so it just got on the other bottles, and was hardly anything to complain about. As for the product: I've reviewed CG VRP before, but will say again: It's one of my favorite protectants. It smells nice, and lays on evenly, and is very versatile. I've used it on my interior, and although I find it attracts dust a little more than other things I've used, and it's a pinch more glossy than I'd prefer, it still looks nice, and smells nice. I love it on exteriors. Black trim looks great, and lays on evenly, with or without wiping off excess I find. Also, I've used it as a tire shine a lot, and love it in that department too. All in all though, I love having it on hand, if not for anything else, as a trim/tire dressing.

My new-to-me 2019 Subaru has lots of vinyl trim that looked dull next to the shiny surface of the car itself. I tried Armor All, New Vinyl and Mother’s Back to Black (which left whitish drip stains after the first rainfall!). Even used an aerosol lubricant that I read about online. It removed the drip stains but also dried to a dull finish like the other products before. I had just about given up when I read about VRP and thought I’d give it a try. Photos show the “before” (with drip stains thanks to Mother’s) and “after” — photo taken two days after application! If you’re looking to restore vinyl trim, this is the one to buy.

I used this on my 2004 Honda SUV, and my Honda Motorcycle. These vehicles never catch a break. They've had so much trauma to their bodies but run amazing. I applied a few dabs of this VRP and the thickness to the conditioner is the first sign I noticed how good it was, there was no chemical oder, and it really darkened the trim from nearly whitened sunbleached to black as new! I wish I would've taken the before and after pictures. I'm about to put this stuff on everything around my house, the vinyl, plastic and rubber items. Everything is getting a new life back. Now let me see what else these chemical guys got. This is a start of a wonderful friendship

This tire shine from Chemical Guys is a really good product for dressing up your vehicle. Tire shines add a "pop" to the look of your car, and this Chemical Guys product did not disappoint me. It does not leave a harsh residue on the wheel itself, as some other products that I have tried do. I would recommend this product, for sure.

Works absolute wonders on faded plastic and even after a couple days it still remains black. It surprisingly even worked on my painted front bumper with faded paint and wood trim on the inside. Made the car look brand new!
