My landscaper decided to thatch, rake, cut, rake, cut and rake again my entire 12,000 sq. ft. lawn and put down new seed and a bit of topsoil. Well, the raking and cutting, and all the tree trimming left me with six or seven of these bags with about 50 lbs of stuff inside. I could not lift them to get them to the street for trash pick up, I could only drag them through the grass or down our driveway. Any other bag would have ripped open, but not these bad boys. They are super thick and defy anything. Even rose bush branches and thorns could not penetrate the bag. Man, they are worth the additional cost unless you want to spend an hour sweeping and picking up behind the skinny bags which are fine for kitchen stuff, but not outdoor landscaping debris. Our town has a yearly Heavy Trash Pick up. They have crazy rules about bags and weight and what can and can not be placed freely on the curb. I bought these bags because I did some clean out of the storage rooms in the basement and needed a sturdy trash bag that wouldn't tear easily and would hold many random and oddly shaped items. I will be honest and tell you I used the entire box of bags, but we got it done and when the truck left, everything was taken! Yeah me!! ... show more

These are sturdy lawn bags and worked for containing and discarding various refuse. That said, the puncture resistance is somewhat low, there are no tie handles built in, and they are bundled and packaged awkwardly. Most of these bags come in some type of roll. These are stacked in three separate bundles which are then folded and boxed. Closing the bag is completed by utilizing the enclosed zip ties or grabbing as much plastic as you are able and tying the pleats. On the plus side, the bags are generously sized (55 gallon drum). I bought these bags to store packing boxes in, in order to protect them from possible water damage. They have absolutely no flexibility or stretch. They are thin and rigid, and rip easily. So happy to have found these trash bags! They are thin and easy to handle and so they won't be great for big huge heavy loads but for average loads and lawn clippings household garbage etc these are perfect. I have not had one come apart yet for the last few months. They tear easily off the road, come with an ample supply of twist ties and I think they're supposed to be biodegradable (another good reason not to use thicker bags than you have to).
