Description

What is a maf sensor? MAF SENSOR also known as Mass Air Flow Meter/ Air Flow Sensor/ Air Mass Meter/ Air Mass Sensor. It s the device used in many fuel injected engines to measure the amount of air entering the engine so the onboard computer (ECU) can calculate the correct air/fuel mixture ratio to enter the combustion chambers. Located ahead of the throttle body, after the air filter, the MAF sensor uses a heated wire or filament/film to measure the air flow. 22680-4M500 Mass Air Flow Sensor Meter compatible with: 2000 2001 2002 Infiniti G20 2.0L l4 MAF SENSOR 2000 2001 Infiniti I30 3.0L V6 MAF SENSOR 2000 2001 Maxima 3.0L V6 MAF SENSOR 2000 2001 Sentra 2.0L l4 MAF SENSOR How To Install The Replacement Mass Air Flow Meter Sensor: 1. Position MAF sensor in the vehicle. Make sure the airflow direction indicated on the sensor is toward the engine. 2. Install sensor-to-air-duct seal(s), if so equipped, on the replacement MAF sensor. 3. Connect the MAF sensor to the throttle body air cleaner ducts. If the sensor mounts directly on the throttle body, install and tighten the mounting screws to 10 ft-lb. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN! 4. Position clamps over the air duct/MAF sensor connections and tighten; Replace the clamps if necessary.NOTE: For the MAF sensor to work properly, the sensor/air duct connections must be airtight. 5.CAREFULLY plug the harness connector lead into the MAF sensor. 'Twas cleaned the mass air flow sensor and it would then start after failing to stay running with ignition, but still ran erratically! I had already replaced the fuel pump and filter in case they were at fault which was a good thing as they were very dirty too - but that did not help the situation. Changed old hardened air filter with Purolator. When (prob factory - bought used @ 111,000 miles) original MAF sensor replaced with this sensor and runs like a gem - going strong for a moon now. 'Might update this review after six or so. --- on 6/28/2023; after a few months and noticing now for a while hard starts/idles; the P0100 code is back and I will be contacting the company for replacement of the sensor! -got a refund. ... show more

    • Died after Two Days
Worked for two days then died while I was driving. Threw the MAF sensor code and car wouldn’t go above 2000 rpm. Returned and purchased the hitachi model. Hoping it will last.

    • Perfect fit for 2000 Nissan Maxima. Runs like new now
I recently put it on my 2000 Nissan Maxima. It made a big difference. Now the acceleration is very smooth and the fuel economy is better. It is worth it. So far very happy with it. If you have a very old car and lacking power. This is one thing I will recommend.
