  • Gorgeous powder for color & blurring.
Color: Brightening Peach
This is a new, loose powder from Charlotte Tilbury's Airbrush line. This line promises blurring of imperfections and an airbrush finish. I think this was a fair value for a luxury cosmetic that performs differently than comparable drugstore options. ♤ Quality: This isn't an ultra sheer setting powder that just knocks off some shine. This is a full bodied powder that changes your natural look. It has impressive blurring and softening effects. It adds color and the two brightening shades also offer color correction. While the blurring effect was very flattering, this might not be the most natural cosmetic. It makes me look different than I naturally look. The pigmentation is strong enough to mute some redness and blemishes. It's not in the realm of a powder foundation but it also isn't totally sheer. If dabbed on too thickly it could cake if there is any dead skin or flakiness. But most people wouldn't apply it that thickly. In normal use, with a few passes of a puff or brush, the effect is smooth and seamless. ♡ Brightening Peach shade: This is labelled as a brightening product for medium to deep skin tones. However, it worked great on my pale, cool-toned, NW15 skin tone. While it wasn't brightening on me, because the tone was not paler than my skin, the soft peach hue was very flattering. The peach hue is very mild. There are no golden or orange tones. It's a pale, cool peach. So I think it will still work for cool-toned people who avoid warm colors. ☆ Light shade: The lightest shade for fair to light skin tones is very pale and has an ivory tone. While I don't have the Translucent shade, that might be a better choice for people who are worried about a shade match. This light shade has moderate coverage and the pale tone might appear chalky on tan skin. ◇ Presentation: This has a big glass jar with the Winged Victory theme all the Airbrush products have. The metal and glass look luxurious. There is an included puff with an angled tip for getting in to small spots like the nose area. The sifter is a cloth mesh instead of a hard material. It seems to hug the powder alnost as though it has a static charge. There is less stray dust than a hard sifter. I am worried this material might be fragile but so far I have been tapping it with a brush to pick up product with no issues. I think using the puff might be gentler though. ♧ Value: It's a luxury cosmetic and the cost reflects that. It's a huge tub that will probably last forever so the adage "buy once, cry once" might apply. I don't replace loose powder often so it's nice to have a good one. There are some things drugstore makeup never gets right like eyeshadow palettes. There are some things drugstore makeup does better than luxury makeup like mascara. Other categories are a toss up. I think there are nice, sheer powders, especially pressed powder compacts, at the drugstore. If you just want to powder your nose so it isn't shiny, those will work fine. However any drugstore powder with more opacity will usually get cakey or dusty looking. This powder does a LOT, and it does it effortlessly and flawlessly. If you want blurring, smoothing, softening, and color or color correction...then you want this. It's a high tech, high performance product that does more than basic products. ... show more

  • Fine, Blurring, Soft, Buildable
Color: Invisiblur Translucent
I have four shades of Charlotte Tilbury's new Airbrush Flawless Blur Loose Powder: Translucent Blur, Translucent Fair/Medium, Translucent Medium/Tan and Brightening Peach. I've been playing around with all four, and while I obviously can't use all of them the same way on my very fair skin, having several shades has made it a lot easier to see what each one actually does. The powder itself is incredibly fine and silky. The biggest thing I notice is the blur. It really does soften the look of my pores and fine lines without giving me that dry, dusty, overly powdered look that I HATE. It takes down shine, but it doesn't completely mattify my skin or make it look flat. I would describe the finish as more of a soft satin-matte. A little goes a long way, and I definitely get better results pressing a small amount into my skin rather than piling it on. Translucent Blur is the true translucent one and doesn't really change the color of my makeup. This is the easiest one for me to use anywhere I want to set my makeup or tone down shine without adding any extra color. I especially like it through my T-zone and around my nose because that's where I notice my pores the most. Translucent Fair/Medium is still translucent, but unlike Translucent Blur, it does have a little color to it. On lighter skin, this gives you the blurring and setting without that gray or ashy look some translucent powders can leave behind. This works well all over for me and is also a good option under my eyes when I don't necessarily want the added brightness of a color-correcting shade. Brightening Peach is different because I wouldn't really consider this an all-over setting shade. It's meant more for brightening and color correcting. I like it under the eyes and anywhere I have a little darkness because the peach helps cancel out some of those grayish/purplish shadows. I'm VERY fair, so I have to be careful with how much I use, but with a light hand I can make it work. It's not adding coverage. It's more like my under-eye area just looks brighter and more awake. Translucent Medium/Tan isn't really meant for my skin tone, so Fair/Medium is definitely the better match for me. That said, I was surprised that I can still use Medium/Tan without it looking way too dark. My face is a little darker than my arms, which is something I always have to keep in mind when I'm color matching, and the powder is sheer enough that I can get away with it. But it does have more color to it, and if I were choosing a shade specifically for myself, I'd go with Fair/Medium. I really like that this doesn't immediately settle into every little line and make me look older than I already am. I will say that it's easy to overdo if you have dry patches, and sometimes I do. If I pack it on over a dry patch, I can still see it. But with a light application, my makeup looks smoother and my pores and fine lines look softer without my skin looking powdery. I also have to mention the little heart-shaped puff because it's adorable, but it's also useful. The pointed end makes it easy to get underneath my eyes and around my nose, and I can use the larger parts to press the powder over bigger areas of my face. The containers themselves are beautiful too. That's something Charlotte Tilbury does really well. The packaging always feels like part of the product instead of an afterthought, and I love all the little details they add. ... show more

  • Lightweight, silky powder that gives an airbrushed look without feeling drying
Color: Invisiblur Translucent
I love Charlotte Tillbury and regularly use their Flawless Foundation, so I tested this Airbrush Flawless Blur Loose Powder over it, and the two work beautifully together. It also worked well on my natural skin when I wanted to go bare faced without foundation. I ordered several of the colors, so for reference I will compare them: -The Translucent Blur is a fabulous all over powder that didn’t change my skin tone. -The Brightening Pink was great at brightening up my undereye area and other areas I wanted to add some mild highlighting. - The Fair/Medium has a very light tint that leans a little yellow. It blended well into my fair skin and helped even out some of my redness. I think would work with most Light to Fair skin tones. -The Medium/Tan blended surprisingly well into my fair skin and gave it a hint more color without looking unnatural. It also has a light yellowish tint. I think it will be perfect during the spring summer when my skin has more of a tan. I am in my forties with fair toned, combination skin, and while some powders can leave my skin feeling dry, this one left my skin feeling comfortable rather than parched. This formula contains botanical emollients, magnolia bark extract, and oil control microspheres, which differentiates it from regular talc powders. I like that it includes the antioxidant magnolia bark extract which may help protect my skin while I’m wearing the powder. As for shine control, the brand claims up to 24 hours, but my real-world experience is that it kept me shine free from morning until early evening, which was about 8 -10 hours. Had I been heading out to dinner that night, I would have needed a touch up at that point. I do live in a warm, humid climate so I sweat and get shiny fairly easily when I am out and about, but if you live somewhere drier or spend most of your time indoors, this powder will likely keep you shine free longer. What really stood out to me was the silky texture. It has an ultra-finely milled, airy feel that applies lightly without looking cakey or heavy. It helped minimize my pores and smooth my skin's texture without settling into my fine lines or emphasizing them. This isn't a powder that adds heavy coverage. It has a more natural feel that still lets a bit of my skin’s natural texture come through while giving a soft focus, airbrushed look. It doesn't leave a cast, and it settled into my skin almost immediately after application. As for the finish, I would call it more of a natural to soft matte rather than a full flat matte. It's mattifying, but not in that heavy, talc forward way, and it feels more hydrating than most powders I've tried. However, for anyone with drier skin, you’ll definitely want to prep well with moisturizer beforehand. If your skin isn't adequately hydrated first, this powder can make the drier areas look a bit too matte. I absolutely adore how luxurious the jar looks and it’s pretty enough to have sitting out on my countertop. It comes with a rose gold top with an ultra-fine mesh that dispenses a small amount of powder each time, so there's no waste or mess. It includes an adorable burgundy heart shaped powder puff, and the rounded tip made pressing powder into tighter spots like under my eyes and around my nose so much easier. I like that this powder gives a flawless, natural looking complexion without any glitter or sheen, just a soft, glowy, airbrushed finish that still allows my skin look like skin. My makeup stayed in place with minimal transfer throughout the day, and a little goes a long way. If you want a lightweight setting powder that blurs and polishes without looking heavy or aging your skin with a flat matte finish, I think this powder is worth it. ... show more

  • Premium Finish Without Emphasizing My Fine Lines
Color: Translucent Tan/Deep
I wanted to try Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Blur Loose Powder because it is a premium-priced product, and I wanted to compare it with my current Maybelline Fit Me Loose Setting Powder, which is much more in my everyday price range for my daily work. The presentation is definitely upscale, from the box to the powder container. Inside is a velour heart-shaped puff sitting in a keeper bowl that also helps contain the powder. Underneath is the fine mesh dispensing screen. The mesh is noticeably finer than my Maybelline powder, and the powder itself is extremely fine, so it can disperse into the air and surrounding area fairly easily. The puff fits my two fingers fairly snugly. I found that pressing the heart-shaped puff onto the mesh did not consistently pick up an even amount of powder. I found that tipping and tapping it before using while using my brushes for more precise application worked best for me. I also found the dispensing area became fairly messy during actual use, which was a little disappointing considering how polished the exterior looks. The powder itself is where I noticed the biggest difference. It feels exceptionally lightweight and blends much more transparently than my Maybelline powder. Around my fine lines and wrinkles, this gave me one of the best finishes I have seen from a setting powder. It smoothed the appearance of my under-eye concealer without emphasizing the fine creases, and helped blend my under-eye makeup into the surrounding foundation. I have combination skin with an oily area around my nose, and the smooth matte finish lasted through a full workday without becoming cakey in my T-zone. My drier areas did not develop the tight, stretched appearance I sometimes get from powder. Even later in the day, my skin still felt smooth to the touch. My under-eye area eventually needed a touch-up, partly because I wear glasses and have eye allergies and tend to rub around my eyes, but it still looked better at the end of the day than my Maybelline powder. I also have some cheek redness and age spots. This powder did not cause a reaction for me and slightly softened the appearance of redness, but it is a setting/finishing powder rather than a full-coverage powder, so it did not conceal redness or age spots by itself. Worn alone, the translucent finish was essentially undetectable on my skin. Over foundation, however, it did an even better job of creating the smooth, polished finish I was looking for. My skin ranges from a deep summer tan to a medium winter shade. I found the Tan/Deep shade worked well for me while tanned to a very deep tan, although I would choose a much lighter shade during winter. One thing I would consider when comparing the value is how much powder you use. With a larger makeup brush, I could see myself using a significant amount if I tried to cover my entire face for an overall blurred appearance. Since the powder is so fine, I don’t expect the container to last as long for me as my Maybelline powder. Overall, I can see why this is considered a premium setting powder. For me, the main difference wasn’t coverage but the finer texture, lightweight feel and more polished finish, particularly around fine lines. The price difference from my Maybelline powder is significant, so I would be more likely to use this for special occasions or evening events rather than as my everyday work powder. The powder performed very well for its intended purpose, although I would prefer a cleaner and more convenient dispensing system. ... show more

  • Excellent Loose Powder with Precise Applicator -- So Lightweight and Effective!
Color: Invisiblur Translucent
This is FANTASTIC! My new favorite powder. This is really easy to apply -- it comes with a flatter cushion-type applicator that picks up the perfect amount of powder. All I have to do from there is gently pat it into the skin. The heart shape of the applicator isn't just for optics either, as the angled bottom of the heart really helps with getting smaller areas like the undereyes. I would say that this definitely blurs and mattifies. It reduces shine, but not to a degree that I felt was overly aggressive or unnatural. It doesn't have a lot of fallout during or after the initial application either, which I love -- I often prefer to leave some areas of my face unpowdered or more lightly powdered for natural highlighting, and this plus the applicator allow me to really control where and how much powder I apply. Longevity-wise, this lasted a full workday plus several hours, though I have drier and less oily-prone skin. Normally I brush my powder on as I have drier skin and using puffs can be overly aggressive on me and leave me looking cakey instead of just matte. This is perfect though -- the powder is so fine and lightweight that I don't think I could make this cakey if I wanted to! Although this color of the powder looks white in the packaging, it doesn't create any sort of white cast on my skin -- though I am fairly pale, so those with darker skin may not experience the same results. I find that this combines well with other makeup products. I'm usually a minimalistic makeup wearer for everyday (mascara, brows, a bit of blush), but frequently attend events that require heavier applications. for daily it's usually to reduce shine from sunscreen, and for events more for blurring and matte-ifying for picture readiness. I haven't had any issues with the powder being used as my finisher for either routine. Normally I occasionally have some "bad" combos that result in pilling or cakiness, but after trying this with a few different foundations and concealers (some on face, some on the back of my hand), I've had zero issues with interactions between the two. A lot of my makeup is Charlotte Tilbury (I purchase Charlotte Tilbury stuff a LOT), so it makes sense that it would be compatible. It also worked with my non-Charlotte Tilbury products! The case itself looks gorgeous and feels substantial in the hand. It's really easy to hold this one handed while powdering, which ofc is huge in a powder. I will say though that this is a bathroom vanity product, not an on-the-go one, as the lid needs to be removed and put down on something to get the container open. Overall, I think this is a fantastic powder and highly recommend it. I think this is great value for what you get -- it's definitely my new favorite powder! 5 stars :) ... show more

  • The Powder That Makes My Makeup Look Filtered Without Looking Powdery
Color: Invisiblur Translucent
Loose setting powder can be a tricky category because there's a fine line between beautifully blurred skin and looking like you've dusted your face with flour. This one lands firmly on the good side of that line. The texture is incredibly fine and velvety. When I press it into the skin, it almost disappears rather than sitting visibly on top of my makeup. What I notice most is the way it softens the look of pores, fine texture, and shine without completely flattening the dimension of my complexion. My skin still looks like skin, just more polished and airbrushed. The blurring effect is especially impressive around areas where makeup can start looking a little less smooth throughout the day. Under the eyes, around the nose, and around the mouth are the spots where I appreciate it most. It gives everything a soft-focus effect without requiring a thick layer of powder. I also really like the application system. The heart-shaped Airtech puff makes it easy to press powder exactly where I want it instead of creating a cloud of loose powder everywhere. The pointed areas are particularly useful for getting into smaller spaces, while the rounded part works well for larger areas of the face. The fact that the puff is washable and reusable is a nice bonus. The packaging deserves some attention, too. The rose-gold click-and-seal jar feels very luxurious, but it's also genuinely functional. The mesh dispenser gives me much more control over how much powder comes out, which is important with an ultrafine loose powder. I'm not constantly fighting with the container or accidentally dumping half the product onto my counter. For wear, this does an excellent job of controlling shine while keeping my makeup looking fresh and even. I don't get that overly dry, tight feeling that some mattifying powders can cause, and my makeup stays looking smooth rather than becoming visibly powdery as the day goes on. At around $50, this is definitely an investment setting powder. You're paying for more than just loose powder here, though. The texture, blurring effect, controlled dispensing system, reusable puff, and overall finish all make it feel like a genuinely elevated product. Overall, this has become the kind of setting powder I reach for when I want my makeup to look especially polished. It gives me that soft-focus, airbrushed effect without making my skin look heavily powdered, and the finish is smooth, refined, and surprisingly natural. If you love that filtered-looking complexion but still want your makeup to look like actual skin, this is a really beautiful powder. ... show more

  • Beautiful presentation, lovely product, but unnecessarily expensive
Color: Translucent Medium/Tan
I have seen this product for YEARS now being recommended but I have never tried it. Please keep in mind, this review is written by someone that has never tried the original formula, so I can only speak from an opinion of first thoughts on the redeveloped product. I got the shade ‘translucent medium/tan’ for when I have been either out in the sun for a while or used tanning lotion. Generally I am super pale and would use something in light, but keep a darker product on hand for when I have a tan. It is a very finely milled powder. I used a brush to apply as opposed to the powder puff. It gave a subtle blurring effect and gently mattified my face/makeup. I often use powder when I don’t feel like wearing a full face of makeup and just throw a little powder over my moisturizer to slightly blur pores and make my face look less shiny. This is great for that application. It works seamlessly over makeup as well. I didn’t experience any issues with caking or accentuating fine lines/wrinkles. Very pretty formula. The packaging is top tier. The compact itself is sturdy and beautiful. I am kinda obsessed with the heart shaped dark red powder puff that comes with it. It is so stinkin cute. Definitely feels like a luxury product due to the product. I am having a hard time giving a star rating though. I’m tempted to deduct a star for the price, but technically there isn’t anything wrong at all with the product itself. I think the luxury price tag is explained by the luxurious packaging and solid product, but I still don’t agree than any setting powder needs to be $50. You get a ton of product so it should last quite a while, so if you *want* to splurge on something nice for yourself, then this is good. But if you just want a great setting powder then there are plenty of other options on the market at a tiny fraction of the price. Ultimately I didn’t remove a star for the price since most people recognize Charlotte Tilbury as a ‘luxury’ or ‘high-end’ brand and thus the cost associated with it. ... show more

  • Pairs best with Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless concealer + foundation for amazing results
Color: Translucent Tan/Deep
Very true to shades online, love the dedication to giving good swatches! Charlotte's a genius - this is an excellent loose powder. Probably the best I've ever used next to Givenchy's. This powder took the edge off that heavy shine instantly. It provided an immediate, soft-focus airbrushed blur over pores and texture. It is completely fragrance-free - no floral or perfume scents to worry about. There's a thin round piece of paper you have to remove and beneath you will see elastic mesh dispenser to prevent a complete mess because it is ultra-ultra-finely milled. Basically don't sneeze lol! The heart shape puff is good for pressing in foundation especially to undereye areas or the nose. Well thought-out, an excellent match for Airbrush Flawless concealer and/or Airbrush Flawless foundation Ultra-fine powder and super natural, it blurs and conceals pores, pits, lines etc. like magic. Very longwearing as well. **For the shade Translucent** : For those wondering why there's different shades, translucent is colorless intentionally so you're not changing your foundation or concealer much. It's best for baking and made to be dusted off. Translucent isn't truly invisible on every skin tone so try it if you are fair/light skin with oily skin for setting purposes. ** For the shade brightening pink (my favorite!!)** : My master scheme was undereye correction since I am awake at 3 AM daily for absolutely no reason except to scale tall buildings while wearing tights. I have dark purplish darkness...sadness...under my eyes and I think you can pretty obviously tell which eye was baked with Charlotte's airbrush flawless blur loose powder vs not. For the undereye, I found it looked better with the powder pressed in a *thin* layer via cushion. The heart cushion included is best for details imho, not speed. Press a thin layer using the small corner of the heart cushion under eyes, allow to sit briefly and lightly dust off. *** TIP + NOTE: It does work BEST with Charlotte Tilbury concealer (not a surprise, formulation wise it's the ultimate line) to my discovery. If you are a Charlotte Fan and have their amazing airbrush concealer and/or foundation (like I do) then this is a natural must-have. ... show more
