Battery life has been crazy so far, soooooo convenient
I got these because I was tired of having to try different methods to keep my controllers alive for cheap. I bought this stupid salad bowl looking thing where you charge the controllers and headset by placing in their parts of the bowl, the reusable batteries crapped out after a few months and I couldn’t play while I charged! These controller grips with built in reusable batteries that charge while you use them with USB-C have been a massive game changer for me. I do a lot of my PC work on Remote Desktop because I like to chill on my office’s couch with a wireless mouse and keyboard while I work. I’ve been using them like nearly nonstop 8-12 hours a day, not exaggerating, and in the last two weeks I’ve had to charge them one time so far. I would say the product ad is great, but honestly it’s so much better than I expected. They fit extremely comfortably in my hands and have straps on the sides of the grips to make it easier to hold even. This has been by far the cheapest way to charge my controllers AND I get to use them while I charge them- huge added bonus. I hate that I can’t review this 6/5 because this one is deserving of it. It skyrocketed over my expectations.

Comforable upgrade with an unfortunate issue
These are a genuine upgrade when compared to the original controllers for the Q3. The battery life is solid and the controllers do not take long to charge. The silicone grips are comfortable and the straps fit very nicely. I put months and months of play into these with what I assumed was no issue until suddenly the left silicone strap snapped; a problem that I am not alone in experiencing. I bought these grips back in late 2024, I don't feel cheated or scammed but I am bummed and will attempt a DIY repair of some sort to keep using this product. It's a good purchase but be advised that you may need to be gentle with the silicone.

Great grips
Great grip and very convenient charging solution for the Meta Quest 3 controllers. They fit securely, feel comfortable in hand, and make charging the controllers much easier. Overall, a useful accessory and good value for the price.

Good grips until they broke, but Maecker made it right
Before: I like being able to charge my grips and I have large hands so I liked that they were longer. The straps broke first the left then a couple days later the right just over a month after I bought them. Now I have grips without straps, but at least the batteries charge. The silicone was cut a bit small around the grip button so it would cause it to be a intermittently sticky, but that was not a big deal. This was my review, but then Update: Maecker reached out to me, they said it was a verified problem with that connection and it was reinforced in the next version. They replaced my grips. As I said, I really like these grips I look forward to playing with them with their thicker reinforced connection at the top. So it was a problem, but it had been fixed. Right now I am very happy with Maecker products and their customer service. I will keep you updated.

Another Broken Strap
Update - July 2026 After a little more than a year, one of the straps broke. I contacted Maeker and they essentially said too bad. I see from the reviews that this is becoming a common problem. My problem is that I really like these. So a purchased a new set. This time I added the $2.99 product insurance because I expect the strap to fail at some time in the future. There has been no visible design change. We'll see how that works Original Review - March 2025 I bought these for my Quest 3 controllers. Like many of the other reviews, I had problems with the fit and the grips staying on my controllers. I wanted to love them but couldn't and I was planning to return them. Then, after about a week of use the grips starting to conform to the controllers and fit has never been an issue. My advice to anyone buying these is that it may take some time for the silicon to adjust itself to the shape of the controllers and then all will be good. It is a pleasure not to have to keep buying AA batteries and also not to have to open any covers to charge. The "y" power cable is convenient. I charge them every couple of days and have never run out of power. Definitely worthwhile purchase. These are a great "game changer" (pun intended), but as I have said, give them some time.

Feels Better Than The OEM Grips
Been using them for months now with zero issues. I really like the larger ergonomic grips. It'll pay for itself pretty quickly since you won't need to keep buying batteries. Easy to charge and lasts forever on a single charge. I've never even came close to killing the rechargeable batteries and I can have some pretty long sessions. The USB-C charging cable included is double ended on one end so you can charge both grips at once.

Don't hold a charge
Great concept. Easy to install, comfortable to use but will not hold a charge. First time using after fully charging they worked great. Then I noticed that they would hold less and less of a charge after the first use. Do not use them too often (1-2 times week) but they were constantly dead after being left sitting after charging. If I left them charge for 2-3 hours (full charge) and used them for maybe one hour then set them down and went back to them the next day they were dead again. They DO NOT hold a charge.
