I have made it a new habit to only buy UL listed or ETL listed devices. Fire safety is such a high concern where I live that I can no longer risk a spontaneous combustion of a charging block from a cheap manufacturer from China. China is flooding our market with super cheap electronics -- go search up electrician contractor inspection forums and find inspectors talking about shipments received from China full of electronics and lighting and so on, and everything having a different issue even among the same product in a case, everything having terrible issues with wiring. THIS PRODUCT IS UL LISTED. All that means is that it is certified to meet our safety standards, and there are reported issues even with UL and ETL listing, but it is all we have at the moment, unless I was an electrican and electrial engineer able to dissect devices and understand if they look safe. I am not that. So I have only UL listing to go by. This product is performing well for me and remaining cool. It is a good price and a value compared to name brand huge markups.     • Works just as advertised
The media could not be loaded. I picked this charger up for my Pinecil soldering iron. In order to get the absolute fastest startup time, this iron requires a charger that can do around 100 Watts at 28V, in line with the EPR PD3.1 standard. This seemed to fit the bill so I went ahead and gave it a shot. Works great! Handshake to the iron is successful and sits at 27V (closest I've been able to get to 28 on any power supply and I'm assuming it's within tolerance. Not going to sweat 1 volt). Heats up very fast, about five seconds to get to 400C. As for the build quality, it seems very solid. Very similar form factor to official Apple power supplies I've used in the past. I'm not certain, but it also appears it would be compatible with the official swappable plugs for international sockets as well. Can't confirm, but the mechanism looks identical to my eyes. Maybe this is to be expected for a monster charging brick, but this does heat up noticeably when charging a MacBook Pro. Not to the point where I'm worried about safety or fire, but enough that I let it cool off periodically and definitely unplug it and let it sit before packing. I picked it up as a backup for my Apple brand charger and for occasional travel, so I don't use it as often, which seems okay. If you need a primary, everyday charger for your laptop, though, I would probably go with a name brand (e.g. Apple or Anker) for durability/longevity. ... show more

Despite false advertising for USB-C chargers being rampant - the one I received is SO BAD, I have to leave open the possibility that it might be defective. Its controller advertises no PD support, at all - no protocol support, and no PDOs. Even if it worked flawlessly - at $50, it is very over-priced. ... show more

Just got the 140W USB-C Charger Power Adapter for my MacBook Pro 16, and it’s seriously impressive! This charger powers up my laptop super fast, which is awesome since I'm always on the go. What I love most is how quickly it charges, even while I’m multitasking with heavy stuff like photo editing and graphic design. It definitely cuts down the time I need to plug it in. The design is sleek and fits nicely in my bag, plus the cable is tough and long enough for some flexibility in my setup. It’s also compatible with other USB-C gadgets, which is a nice bonus. I ordered this to use with both an old 15" 2017 Intel MacBook Pro with USB-C charging, and, with a little adapter I have, my 2015 MacBook Pro which uses the previous generation of MagSafe. The issue I was having with the latter is that it won't even charge with say, a 65w power adapter, which is most of the ones I have around the house. Using this 140w adapter, you have enough juice to power any MacBook ever made. Obviously these are bulky, so I don't carry them with me (the higher wattage Macs all live the retired life around the house now) but it's the amount of power you need for any large laptop. This adapter comes with the Apple "duckbill" end so you could use it with their international adapters. Obviously this also works completely normally for any PD device as well. Well built, kind of hefty weight wise. Perfect replacement for the charging block (which recently disappeared) on my daughter's Mac book air. Also come with a B cable if your laptop uses that.
