It's a good C cable for a laptop. Comes in two parts for portability which is nice. The box does get quite warm, but not alarmingly. I use this one as my travel cable so it's not kept plugged in at all times- I wouldn't advise it.

I bought this because I use my laptop in several locations and on the road and I was tired of unplugging my original charger every time. Even though the laptop recognizes it as a low power supply and warns it may not work properly, it does just fine. Worked for three weeks, charged fast. Nice. My HP laptop’s regular charger port conked out and needed to be propped up like a sultan on more and more pens and inserted at perverse angles. After three weeks of solid effort, it quickly started to do the same thing: sometimes it worked, sometimes the power symbol wouldn’t come up, and I’d have to plug it in again and refrain from bumping (or using!) my HP laptop to avoid waking this baby. Now I have to light incense and write pentagrams in MS paint to get +2% of charge before blinking out 3 minutes later. So forget about charging when you’re not constantly watching the battery symbol. I feel like I work Homer Simpson’s job but at a Soviet nuclear plant. Or I’m like a switchboard operator. And it’s not a problem with my port itself: I tried someone else’s charger — a more indulgent model — and it worked perfectly. I felt like a junkie getting their fix after days of deprivation; a desert wanderer stumbling upon an oasis. DON’T BUY THIS CHEAP CHARGER. BOOOOOOOOOOOOO ... show more

This is being used for an HP Elitebook x360 1030 G8. Now this charger DOES work - specs for power input on that computer are 15V at 4.33A, and this power supply meets that spec. However. The power delivery is at 65W, which is less than the factory charger. This is to say that while it does work, battery charging goes a bit more slowly than with the OEM unit. To be clear, it's not THAT much slower, but it is noticeable. It does, however, work. And really, given the usage pattern of this laptop for us, namely used about 85% of the time while plugged in, I wouldn't call it a dealbreaker. For those needing fast charging though, a higher wattage charger is likely preferred. ... show more

They work great to charge both my laptop and my phone. This is my second one, but that's not a reflection of these chargers. It's because I have an a-hole cat who loves to chew things that she deems more important to me than her.

THIS is why everyone loves Amazon! My HP Elitebook 860 G9 died around 2:00pm, I ordered this at 3:00pm and it was delivered at 5:00pm...up and running just 2 hours after I ordered it....now THAT's service! I have so much work to do, so Yaaaaay!!!
