    • It exceeded my expectations.
Size: 15 Gallon
Good product, it takes up little space and has a good capacity, I use it for camping and it was a success.

    • Great Deal, Small Problem
Size: 40 Gallon
It leaks where the drain fitting is. I assumed this would be the case because of other reviews. However, I dont feel like it deserves 4 or less stars. After all, its the best deal per gallon on all of Amazon. So a trip to the hardware store just to buy $8 worth of parts is still a great deal. Or, if theres some silicone caulk or an equivalent, that would be enough to stop the leak. ... show more

    • Great quality.
Size: 40 Gallon
Works great for a water tank. Rather large so keep that in mind, if you are strapping to the back of a four wheeler you can’t fill it up all the way.

    • tank is ok, but useless as-is with fittings provided
Size: 40 Gallon
Bought this to carry water in my UTV to water plantings that we can't reach with a hose. Tank itself fits well in my UTV and seems adequately sturdy, but is hard to strap securely to the bed (curved sides without mounting points or good recesses to hold straps). But the huge FAIL is that the plastic fittings for the drain outlet are really cheap and inadequate. As other reviewers have noted, the fittings as provided WILL leak, so you need to put in extra effort and supplies (washer/o-ring, caulk/joint paste, glue) to stop the leak. The bigger issue is that the 3/4" hose fitting is poorly designed and too weak to attach a hose to. Mine sheared off the first time I used it! I would have returned it but it's so oversized that would be a huge hassle. Instead I've had to buy additional fittings to close off the original drain and install a higher quality bulkhead fitting and tap elsewhere on the tank. So, extra cost and time to make the tank useful. Fingers crossed that the tank will last long enough to justify the effort. I would not buy this again and am unlikely to buy anything else from Chapin. ... show more

    • 5/5 Great for most uses, small capacity for everything else
Size: 40 Gallon
Review Image by Ted Queen
Fantastic tank, would buy again, I specifically bought a shower head attachment for it. I'm using this as an off-grid water storage tank. Every few days I bring home 2-3 of the 5gal size and it's been perfect for my needs. Washing dishes, taking baths, refill water, etc. overall I'm very happy with it. Mine appears to have a few minor cosmetic issues. It looks like some debris fell into the plastic during the mold process because it has a few dark spots embedded in the tank. Hopefully it's not toxic 🤷 For the people saying that it's leaking- either yours is missing the rubber washer, it's backwards or misaligned, you tightened it too much, or you added Teflon (if it has a washer/gasket, DON'T USE TEFLON) ... show more

    • Unit will likely leak some.
Size: 40 Gallon
Review Image by ronbo747
I would guess that the unit will leak for everyone if they just tighten up the cap as it is. The lip on the opening is not perfect so making it smooth might help to make it a better seal. If you tighten it up pretty tight, it will likely leak a drip every 10 seconds. Not terrible, but not acceptable if you need no leakage at all. Tightening it up too tight will make it leak even worse, so there's a fine line there. ultimately, I decided I didn't want it to leak at all so I put a LOT of RTV (silicon adhesive) sealant inside the threads and outside. It was probably over kill but it does not leak at all now. ... show more

    • Good sturdy tank
Size: 40 Gallon
Great water tank! Super sturdy and holds so much water! I used this when camping for a week without shower access, just filled this up and ran my portable shower head through it and had good showers the entire time only filling it once.

    • Good tank-bad parts
Size: 40 Gallon
I like the tank itself but the drain plug with the hose attachment is cheap and broke on mine. You have to call manufacturer direct for the parts as no 3rd party cap will fit. I tried all three threads. When I called they said they have to "make" the parts so it's taking a long time to receive.
