  • Good concept but not perfect
The idea of swapping concentrate tanks is great. The executions wasn’t perfect though. You need to dilute most lawncare chemicals to get this to work. If the chemical has a higher viscosity than water it won’t flow at the right Oz per gallon you selected on the dial. The chemical is actually “pulled” out by water existing the wand. Higher viscosity products are harder to pull and the result is often zero chemical being mixed at anything below setting 5. If you just eyeball the fluid and mix with water to dilute a bit it will work just fine…except you have to know the ratio to set the right number on the dial. I handled this issue by making the ratio standardized and writing it on the tank. EX: “X Oz of chemical Y” (alway fill to the top with water) “setting X”on the sprayer dial. That way I don’t have to think about it every concentrate tank refill. If you plan to standardize what chemicals you put in the tank each time and never deviate then I suggest writing it down on the tank and always filling it to the top with water. If you plan on switching up which chemical you put in the tank I do not think this is the right sprayer for you. Without checking the flow rate each time you simply won’t be happy with the consistency of the Oz per gallon. ... show more

  • Are you strong enough to carry 4 gallons on your back?
. should have had a picture of the sprayer in use. i was overwhelmed with size of the tank. I am 5'3' Good product We decided to not send back sprayer. Maybe I should buy some fruit trees to spray. I liked the mixing outside of the tank. That was the feature that sold me. Sorry fo the fuss. I could send you a picture of my devastated weeds. Keep up the good work. ... show more

  • Do not buy
First use... leaked from main tank. Dial for mixing moved on its own. Never knew what the mix ratio was. The actual small tanks never added the chemical to the water... Spraying Imidicloprid all day and only a fraction of the chemical was used. Returning for a refund and will need to spend an entire day retreating my clients. Extremely unhappy. ... show more

  • This sprayer will not disappoint!
The media could not be loaded. I am so impressed with this backpack sprayer! I’ve wanted it ever since I first saw it at the Equip Expo. The Mix Upon Exit is just brilliant. Super easy to switch out different chemicals without washing the 4 gallon container. It comes with two containers for chemicals! And the quality is superior with durable plastic that I’m assuming will last a lifetime. Although it isn’t battery operated, the handle is SO easy to pump. Not having a battery doesn’t bother me one bit and I am just so excited! ... show more

  • Sprayer
This sprayer is easy to use and easy to assemble. It works perfectly as advertised. I use this to spray my plants and fruit trees. Great value for money! I highly recommend!

  • Decent; a little complex
We wanted to give this sprayer a chance since we have a large 2 acre property and have to constantly use weed killer and pesticide around to maintain. First impression out of the box is that its very large and will hold the amount needed to spray the property in sections. I do love that the arm straps are thick and padded and that a cross body strap is included to help balance the weight. It comes with 2 mix containers as well which provide mix settings on them to help clarify any information. Once i got around to setting it up however I found I was getting more confused. I ended up setting up the majority of weed killer (since most of our area is flat land) and the small container with pesticide to help contain issues with bugs. It did leak at first so I removed it and re-added it and that did the trick. So it may have just been loose. So far, its working as expected. I will update in a month or two after I’ve had a few months to consistently test it on the property. ... show more

  • Fantastic
OK, my use: between home and work I maintain multiple acres of land, and have much use for sprayers, mostly for weed control, but any number of uses. I've had many over the years, but this is my first back pack style. Wow. It's great. I should have bought this years ago. The large capacity is extremely helpful for obvious reasons. I will warn you it's a real workout when full. Very heavy. I didn't expect to ache the next day, but I did. Here's what impresses me about this one: 1. Quality material. There's a lot of plastic, as there should be, and all of the plastic feels really durable and strong. There's metal in all of the appropriate places (pump handle, base, etc). That also feels right. The only "assembly was bolting the handle on with the included bolts. Simple, and gave me the immediate feel that this is so much better than the usual ones I use. 2. Design. This is a lot of liquid to carry, and it will be heavy. If you do not position the straps right you will not be a happy sprayer. Read the instructions (unlike me). The design is good, but you need to do it right. The "mix on exit" thing is great. The pump rations the right amount of water and concentrate, so you're never mixing it. Saves time and effort - plus one less step that could splash in your eye. I love that it comes with two containers for the concentrate. 3. Use. When fully pumped, it works incredibly well. The liquid dispenses practically like a faucet. Once dialed in to the way you like it, it's amazing. I had a little leak problem at first, but it was inconsistent so I'm thinking it was part of getting it set up initially. Still, I'm careful about walking on the lawn with any weed killer in it since it dripped a little at first. Overall, I'm really pleased. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Nice, but overly complicated
I bought this as a back-up for my main back-pack sprayer. It is well made and well designed, but I will not be using it as intended. I found the adjustments on the mix tanks to be unreliable and inconsistent. I will mix my chemicals and spray them from the main tank. My regular sprayer shares many of the same parts (spray wand, pump, lever) with this one and that unit cost twice what this one does. So, it is a durable sprayer with a comfortable harness. My ding of one star is that it is too complicated. Complicated things are prone to failure. ... show more
