The shakers hold quite a bit of salt or pepper. The holes are large enough for salt or pepper to easily go through. I'm in an area that is mildly humid and I've been using the salt shaker now for about 3 weeks and there isn't any visible signs of oxidation in the stainless steel portion of the cap. There isn't a rubber ring to prevent the salt from gathering on the cap so salt will spill out when the cap is undone for refill.

I bought this because it’s made of glass and metal to use it with my overlanding/outdoor cooking set. It has been holding up ultra-strong so far. In addition to the materials, I chose it because it has the Duck logo on it, which I thought would look nice at the table, on picnics, and during hunting and camping trips. I guess it’s the only branded shakers.

Bottom is all glass with steel color/coating and top is plastic with steel in the middle. Nice design, easy to clean. Holes are perfect for pepper, but I would say slightly large for salt so be careful when pouring. Well-made and price is decent.
