To stop pouring simply release the button. Practically eliminates spills and overflows. • Small and lightweight
Style: 2000-Watt + Dual Fuel + EZ Start Manual Pattern Name: Generator
Far more efficient on gas than propane, lightweight easy to carry great for back up power for refrigerator and lights when power is out.

  • Solid performer. Dual fuel is a major sell.
Style: 2000-Watt + Dual Fuel + EZ Start Manual Pattern Name: Generator
Bought this for when off-grid with my travel trailer. Wanted the dual-fuel capability so that I could run it off of the propane quick connect on the back of my camper instead of having to schlep gasoline. The sound level is acceptable; it's neither the quietest nor the loudest on the market. The included propane connection is designed to connect directly to a standard propane cylinder tank. It's sort of a kludgy affair with a high-pressure regulator that is combined with a lower pressure regulator that connects directly to the tank that then connects to a 4-foot hose that is inserted into the side of the generator. Since my objective was to run this directly off of the lower-pressure quick-connect on the back of my camper instead of directly to a tank, this hose setup was not useful to me. Fortunately, the high-pressure and low-pressure regulators can be unscrewed from each other, and after some time spent at the hardware store I was able to come up a combination of connectors that resulted in a hose that would go from the female quick-connect to the low-pressure regulator. It would be helpful if Champion would come up with an optional quick-connect low-pressure hose to spare people of this problem. I would have happily paid another $35 or so for a more elegant (and easier to store in the limited space of a camper) option. The second kludge is on the "para link" connection between the generator and the parallel kit. Instead of a single cable that simply plugs into the unit from the parallel kit, you are required to plug in separate positive & negative connections in addition to having secure the ground connection with a nut that for which it's only a matter of time before you lose it. (Carry a spare just to be safe) It's as if this was all an afterthought. Why they didn't bother to come up with a more elegant single cable that did all 3 connections at once seems strange beyond being cheap. The parallel kit itself form-fits to the top and bottom of the generator so that two can easily be stacked on each other, which is nice. It has both a standard 20 amp plug as well as a 30 amp plug that your camper can plug directly into. Even if you only are using one generator, you can use the parallel kit as an adapter for a 30 amp plug as the generator itself only has a 20 amp outlet. When both generators are running, you get a clean 3600 watts using propane. The start procedure with propane takes a bit of time to become routine. The trick is to make sure the "EZ Start" dial is set to choke for propane, and then slowly pulling the start cord for 4 or more pulls to purge air from the propane line, and then switching to run and pulling the cord slowly a few more times until resistance is felt. Then a fast pull should start it almost immediately. Not following this procedure will end in the frustration of a not-running generator and a tired and/or sore arm. Once you get this procedure down, it works every time. ... show more

  • Easy Start on Propane and very useful digital Metering display
Style: 2000-Watt + Dual Fuel + EZ Start Manual Pattern Name: Generator
This review is heavily revised after I learned how to reliable start the 2200 watt Dual Fuel unit on propane. This unit has a load meter and gas level meter along with digital display of time remaining for gasoline only. The digital hour meter displays on startup only. But is useful for break in. in The 100402, 2200 watts is made in China. Champion Power Equipment Is owned by Joyce Ma. And located in Santa Fe Springs, Ca. Customer Service is friendly but useless, two many products and too little training. And with propane you have the regulator and tank as diagnostic variables. 2200 watt has a separated Propane and Gasoline "choke" that I found reliable able starting on propane or gas, other Duel Fuel models have a shred choke knob. NOISE: I measure 70db A or C weighted about 15 feet away. 2400watt. I measure 80db for my Honda. So I say the unit is about a "Quiet" as a typical suburban lawn mower. Which I would not describe as quiet. Earlier I had problems with the first unit I received though both units started right up out of the box. I bought a new Tank at HD and filled the tank. The unit has been reliable starting ever since. No more Portuguese AMerigas Tanks. It usually starts in the choke position at 1-6 pulls depending on situation. Restarts are quicker than first starts overnight in snow. Handled at least 1300 watts and microwave cooking. Overload was handled correctly disconnecting power while continuing to run and overload reset worked correcly. I recommend. ... show more

  • Great generator/inverter! Excellent seller support and service through SuperGen Products
Style: 2000-Watt + Dual Fuel + EZ Start Manual Pattern Name: Generator
Bought this little generator to use as a quick means to provide a few lights, a fan, and get my internet powered up in the event of power outage since now I am working at home during Covid-19. Wanted something light and easy, and most importantly an inverter so as to have clean power for electronics--- and also dual fuel. Propane is so much SAFER to store than gasoline, and since gasoline today has ethanol in it, the gas you use for your cars is terrible in small engines and carburetors, so using gasoline WILL cause you problems down the road. What I like: Easy start VERY QUIET will accept parallel kit with another Champion inverter so you can "stack your wattage" for higher output great instructions great product support from seller (SuperGenProducts.com) AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! what I don't love: being an old guy I prefer mechanical knobs and switches, so I don't love the high tech instrument panel, I worry that the soft touch buttons will fail.... but only time will tell. things to consider when you buy a generator: Regular generators do not output clean safe AC power. Each time a load is added the output may roll off and then surge again. That is bad for sensitive electronics. But with an inverter these produce AC from an alternator (same as non inverters do), but then convert the AC to DC---and then back to AC through their internal circuitry that handles all possible fluctuations. So if you are hooking up a computer or other electronics, you need an inverter. This is also a "closed framed" generator/inverter, meaning it is insulated in a way to dampen the sound. Most of these like this one are made for campers and RV'ers, so they want a quieter generator. Your average home center open frame generators can be VERY loud. So when you look at the noise ratings for dB (decibels) you need to understand what those numbers mean and how they work. For example: a generator rated at 70db compared to one rated at 60db is TEN TIMES louder than the 60db. And then if you are talking 80db--- that is ONE HUNDRED TIMES louder--- and 90dB is ONE THOUSAND times louder. That is because dB (decibels are on a logarithmic scale). So something to keep in mind. ... show more
