  • Wonderful generator
Style: 3500-Watt + Gas + Wheel Kit + CARB
The product was easy to assemble. After priming the engine, it fired off the first pull-on the started rope. runs reasonably quiet. I have had no issues with it. even after it sat for several days, I primed it and then it started on first pull. I even recommended it to a friend who also purchased one and they are happy with it and the ease of starting. ... show more

  • Happy Customer review
Style: 3500-Watt + Gas + Remote Start + CARB
Recently, a tree ripped the meter and all power lines out of my house and I was without power for a week. All of the box stores around me sold out of generators before dinnertime, but this one shipped to my house in two days. Assembly was super easy. I did run it for 5 hours before connecting anything to it, and then I ran it for about 5 days straight with no issues. It worked fabulously! And the remote start is an amazing feature. Yes, it's a little loud, but it's really only louder than the inverter generators (which are designed to be quieter). My Champion wasn't any louder than my neighbors' generators, so this must be the standard sound. Besides, a little generator hum is better than going without a refrigerator and lights. Speaking of time, with a full tank, I could run my refrigerator and a power strip to lights, a fan, and laptops/phones for almost 12 hours. I had to fill the generator twice a day (morning and night). It would have run more, I'm sure, but I didn't need to plug anything else in to get through the emergency so I didn't. The oil did need changed after usage, but that was an easy process, as well. I also recommend a good running cover (I found one on sale on Amazon for $116, but there are a few cheaper options here, too). It started to rain on Day 3 and, since rain can ruin the generator, I made a makeshift cover out of a folding table and tarp (keeping ends open for ventilation) until my cover arrived. Now I'm ready for the next power outage (or camping)! ... show more

  • Great price
Style: 3500-Watt + Gas + Remote Start + CARB
I use this generator all week during my hunting trip this year. I would say it's middle of the road as far as noise goes. Love the electric start but I'm not sure why they added a remote because the instruction manual says not to start it with anything plugged in. Which means I can't start it from inside my camper while the campers plugged in. I have to get out in the cold plug in the camper and then start it. Also, I have to adjust the throttle with my finger while I'm cranking it which makes it start right up quickly. If I don't do this it will still start but you have to crank it a long time which runs the battery down and it's hard on the starter. ... show more

  • First Generator Purchase Thoughts
Style: 3800-Watt + Dual Fuel + Electric Start
Generator was nicely packaged and easy to remove from box (2 people). Assembly was straight forward and easy. Two things. 1. Make sure you have the right amount of oil in it, before attempting to start. I didn't and had to figure that out via the manual's troubleshoot (comes with good documentation). There is a dipstick, but its puny and hard to read. Also be careful when replacing the dipstick. It tends to want to thread incorrectly if you don't have the angle just right. 2. My battery came with enough charge to attempt two starts and then was drained. Hand start is easy enough. Supposedly the battery recharges while its running, but I haven't run the unit more than 5 minutes. Starts easy with pull start and runs fine. Just make sure you have the right amount of oil in it or it won't start (good preventative feature for noobs like me who've never owned one before). Well constructed, 4 gallon fuel capacity. Have not tried propane feature... ... show more

  • Works great
Style: 3800-Watt + Dual Fuel + Electric Start
The only this is the window that shows the output information is fogged up on the inside. I use this ever weekend to keep my freezer running as I am a mobile seafood vendor. So 3 days a week 10 hours a day, now for 4 months. Not a problem yet, except for the window described above.

  • Jury is out- edited
Style: 3800-Watt + Dual Fuel + Electric Start
First impressions were good. Unit was easy to set up. To add or drain oil you will need to literally lie on the ground to do so. For some that may be an issue and at 120 pounds just lifting it up on to a workbench likely not possible for 1 person. Then I noticed the front face plate had damage (see photos). The box did not arrive in a damaged state that would suggest it had occurred during shipping. I have contacted customer support and will update with how that works out. **excellent customer service, received replies to my emails in less the 24 hours, they will be shipping the replacement for the damaged part, very pleased with their quick resolving of the problem**I ran it for the 1st hour as part of the break in period and the clock showed 3 hours. Now perhaps it is ran for a couple of hours as part of the quality control process but I will watch that closely to see if it is accurate. Ran it for a 2nd hour after changing the oil and the unit was surging at idle now. Most common cause is a partial blockage of the idle jet in the carburetor- not something one would expect after less than 2 hours of operation. **added some mechanic in a bottle and the surging is no longer a problem and the unit has been running perfectly** Hoping these issues are resolved quickly and without hassle. Unit does appear well constructed and fired right up- but can go either way with if I could recommend this brand/model. **needed to email champion again on when the replacement part would arrive (mid January)- never received a reply but the part arrived a week later. Not perfect but they did do what they said they would** ... show more

Style: 3500-Watt + Gas + Wheel Kit + CARB
got a great price on prime day, when it arrived it was easy to put together and instructions were very clear and precise, has a pull start but was easy to start for this 56 year old with a bad shoulder, ran quieter than i expected and very smooth, easy to move around on the wheels and the handle on my gravel drive, will come in very handy when the electricity goes out!, would definitely recommend if it has the power that your looking for ... show more
