The Champion Power Equipment 100522 RV Ready 3500-Watt Portable Generator is designed with your safety and convenience in mind. For your RV, you’ll have enough power to start and run a 15,000 BTU RV air conditioner. The next time there’s an outage, the 208cc Champion single-cylinder OHV engine will provide the power you need to back up your home essentials. Champion’s Cold Start Technology ensures a quick start in cold weather, while the Intelligauge monitors voltage, frequency and operating hours so you can easily monitor power output and track maintenance intervals. The foldaway handle and never flat tires make it a cinch to move your power where you need it. At 4375 starting watts and 3500 running watts, this unit can take care of your essentials during an outage – lights, sump pump, refrigerator, modem/router, fan and TV/DVD. Not only that, but the Volt Guard™ built-in surge protector prevents overloads and keeps your equipment safe from spikes in voltage. All the outlets have covers for protection and include a 120V 30A locking outlet (L5-30R), a 120V 30A RV outlet (TT-30R) and two 120V 20A household outlets (5-20R). Fill up the 4.7-gallon tank of gasoline and enjoy up to 12 hours of power at 50% load. From 23 feet, the noise level is 68 dBA, about as loud as a vacuum cleaner. This is a very durable appearing generator. I got it since we had a discount on it. It's bigger and with more power than the other minor generators we have. Easy to assemble wheels and hubby started the motor and it ran well. We wanted it in case of power outage during a freeze, or storm, since we live in East Texas, and this past spring/summer, many areas lost electricity because of storms knocking down lines, especially in our neighboring state of Louisiana. Easy to assemble at setup. All I had to do was put on the wheels and front handle, and add oil...about a ten minute job. I have not wired it into my emergency wiring yet, but I did test the generator with 3 KW pure resistive loading, and hitting it with that load, the frequency dropped to 59.9 Hz and the voltage drop was negligible. It's well constructed. I plan on using this for power outages: Summer...1 window air conditioner, refrigerator and ham radio backup...Winter: 2 each 1500 watt resistive heaters and refrigerator and ham radio backup. This, plus having a fireplace should get us prepared. Someone reminded me to add fuel preservative for long-term storage of my 10-gallon tanks. I also try to exercise it once per week to assure easy startup. It has a manual choke which is quite effective and it takes two tries at most to start generator setup. ... show more

Bought this as storms kept hitting and knocking power out. Power was out for days. Friends put wheels and handle on with no problems. Primed the unit. My power came back on so they borrowed and used it for a 10,000 BTU portable ac unit and fan. Worked like a charm. Its loud as most gas generators are, powerful, and surprisingly efficient.
