Description

Being a hero has its perks, but living for the fight means one must be ready to die for it, in the ninth book of this action-packed LitRPG fantasy series.Victor Sandoval—now hailed as the legendary Lord Victor—has leveled up his rank and skills like no other Sojourner in memory. He now has thriving lands, ever-increasing power, and a new love, the warrior woman Valla. That is, until she decides she needs a bit of space—away from Victor's, shall we say, expansive shadow—to discover herself. But when you may live for millennia, you don't want to rush into a romantic commitment anyway, right?Wrong. Heartbroken, Victor focuses on learning the ins and outs of the spirit realm from his tutor, the great Ranish Dar, while simultaneously fine- tuning his cultivator talents and continuing combat training. And his trusty axe, Lifedrinker, has undergone a major growth spurt, making it even more lethal—if that's possible. And Victor's going to need a big weapon where he's going: Rhun, where everyone is giant and dueling to the death is a way of life. He's been summoned to take over the role of champion for Ranish's granddaughter, Queen Kynna Dar. Luckily, he'll soon discover the best cure for a broken heart is sharing your pain with others . . . again . . . and again . . . and again. The ninth volume of the hit LitRPG adventure series―with more than a million views on Royal Road―now available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook!Tropes: Rags to riches, Levelling up, Fight to the death, Politics is war Read more

  • Still Amazing
Format: Kindle
If you've made it this far, there's no reason to stop now! I finished this book in four days, because I have to work and sleep... The pace of the story, the action, growth, characters, relationships is as impressive as anything I've read in recent memory. it's just so good! Can't wait for the next one! ... show more

  • Great story, small nitpick
Format: Kindle
Love this series and a great new installment. But, can you maybe lay off the exclamation! Points! Every! Other! Sentence! Please! Small nitpick but I feel they drag me out of my zen when I’m reading. Otherwise this is fantastic.

  • Much better pace
Format: Kindle
I absolutely loved Victor getting back with Tes. That just feels like the right course and felt good to read it. I liked the much faster progression then the last few books. To say Victor was only level 58 or so out of 8 other books, with whole new levels of power after meant the series definitely needed to speed Victor's progress up quite a bit. I like that the fights aren't too long or complicated. Abilities aren't too unusual or getting too elaborate and esoteric to explain. Felt like some very solid steps of progress in the series and widely entertaining. I hope this level of progress keeps up. The series itself can always have offshoots of this universe. Prequels to the system, or what the system is, or about Victor's ancestor's, or tons of other interesting people. So finishing up the series doesn't have to be the end of this universe. But the series does need to keep it's momentum and reach conclusion. I'd recommend full series closure within 6 books. ... show more

  • Fantastic
Format: Kindle
This book went by entirely too quick. I was just enjoying the story as much as I possibly could and then it was finished. Why must it already be over? I need more and I need it soon. Absolutely recommend this series.

  • OKAY BUT
Format: Kindle
I'm REALLY trying to not go to RR to read these books. BUT IT'S HARD I WANT MORE. This book felt short but it continues to show the growth of the main character. I also like that it's stepping back from romance and focusing more on the MCs progression. Azforath was handled very well. Big fan.

  • LitRPG with Heart
Format: Kindle
The Parrot has a way with Words and his Hero for this series of tales is a nice change of pace. A well told tale in the continuing saga of Victor of Tucson, and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

  • Excellent Installment of the Victor of Tucson Saga
Format: Kindle
Well written continuation of the Victor saga. Victor continues to grow into his epic bloodline and supports his mentors goals. Very well written continuation of the Victor’s story.

  • Great addition
Format: Kindle
After the last book I wasnt sure about continuing the series as it was really starting to feel repetitive. But this one was a breath of fresh air. It was very enjoyable.
