This is a series chock full of interesting people, fantastic locations, epic conflicts, and kickass heroes that effortlessly draws me in every single time. And yet, I can't write a review without also acknowledging that this novel manages to weave a deep, abiding message of humility, hope and love into its story that only enhances how wonderful it is overall.     • Always impressed and slightly moved emotionaly

As always, i enjoyed this series. The author is really bringing the story to new levels of development. Even with an MC that is OP and will win in pretty much all situations. His own weaknesses and struggles are unique and inspiring. I can resonate with many of the things the author says and i find inspirational. I often find myself saving quotes to use for my wife, my friends, and family. Im sorry for anything the author or anyone they knew had to go through to have such a solid understanding of those emotional difficulties. i am both impressed in how well they can make a story and thankful for sharing it. I can never say it enough. But well done and keep the work coming. ... show more

I loved the last three books, and enjoyed this one as well. The feel that I got in this book though was that he recognized ideas that worked well in the series so far... underlying themes that were quite good... and overdid them a bit in this newest book. The protagonist’s good acts, the crown idea... these seemed a bit overdone in this book. Without a doubt however, I will be reading the next book in the series. ... show more

I have never known a book series to give me such a visceral feeling of catharsis. If you're here because you've read the previous books, fantastic. The author is as masterful as ever with the tempo of action and intimate restful periods full of meaning. There is more of everything that has made this series one of my favorites. If you're new and reading reviews ahead of reading the first book like I sometimes do because you've been burned by series that lose the charm of the original, I promise you that there has not been any sort of drop in quality along the entire series. I beg you to give these books a try. If the author somehow reads this. Know that you have my thanks for not only writing one of the most entertaining series I've had the pleasure of reading, but for making every single conflict these characters go through mean something profound. You have made me feel horror and rage then turn it into relief and jubilation. It feels like a love letter to the human spirit. You have my gratitude, and rest assured I will throw money at you for the next episode in this odyssey. I can't wait. ... show more

More character development? More Challenges? More fantastic characters and worlds? YES!!!! The story of Wes and company picks right up from the last book and continues smoothly. I love the challenges and development in the story. It shows that even magic can't fix everything. The authors treatment of the trauma Wes and others suffered is phenomenal. I'm absolutely on love with this series and it just gets better. (Also, that last chapter...!) ... show more

This series has had me hooked from the get-go with its genuinely human characters who have their own personalities and flaws. Like in this book and how it shows Wes finally confronting his time when he was captured by Rhodes and killed repeatedly. I also like how the side characters are also very well written with their own quirks and emotions. Another thing that is really well done are the character interactions. None of them feel forcedand they don't happen just for some contrived reason. Grammar wise I have not seen any errors. The plot flows really well and the author doesn't need to pull some random thing out of his ass to kick it into action. Overall 10/10 would recommend. ... show more

Listen if you're here room reading this review you're either one of three people you either loved the other books and want to make sure the authors still as good as usual in which case don't worry. Or you sent and I'll read all through books and you not sure if you like this series yet so I'd highly recommend it. lastly you don't like this series and want to see if anyone shares your opinion. Which first fall I do not and second of all I don't see how you feel that way but okay. This is an easy pick for my top 5 book series of all times. I fell in love with this series because of it going into people's morality, how people think, how people are taught to think, inter-person relationships, uetc.and I still got my dose of that in this one. the majority of my time with this was either spent with a big dumb smile on my face, chills running down my spine and happy and or sad tears and honestly I could not recommend this book series enough ... show more
