abunda_amazon_reviews I purchased this generator without the battery start option. I called and emailed Champion to verify the following information befor I purchased this generator. The reason why I purchased the non electronic/electric start is because if battery is dead or has been taken out (for some reason) of the generator, you cannot pull start this generator if running it on gasoline. You can pull start it on propane only. The reason is because there is a 12V (battery operated) solenoid valve in the carburetor that turns off the flow of gas to the carburetor when no battery is present or the generator button is turned off . For me, it has to run no mater what on either fuel. Making this generator dependent on a 12 volt battery is a point of failure in my mind. If the battery was dead and my wife had to go out and start if it , she cannot trouble shoot a dead battery and a 12 volt solenoid when she needs the generator to work. Batteries always fail when you need them the most. Other than this the generator is great. I researched it for some time before purchasing it. Update: This June 2018 saw a big storm come through our state . Power was knocked out. Pulled the generator out of the garage. Hooked it up to propane and we were up and running. It has been over 90 degrees here and this generator allowed us to continue our lives comfortably. We even watched out dish tv. All other houses on our block were dark. As far as I am concerned it has paid for its self already. I plan on purchasing one for each of my sons and their homes as well. Well worth the money.;;Reviewed in the United States on April 19, 2018;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;What you should know before you purchase this generator...!;;Brad;;;Having never owned a generator before, but have seen them in use. I researched a LOT of generators, but kept coming back to this one. I LOVE this generator!!! Super easy to understand instructions. About a week after I bought it, I decided I needed the wheel kit. Good price and GREAT investment for this unit. Having an excess of 20 lb propane tanks on hand, this was a great choice for me. I love the versatility. I also bought the 3-way power cord. Long enough that I can use it to power 2 refrigerators and a freezer, as well as my PC (SIMULTANEOUSLY) during our numerous power outages. The bonus for me, 30 amps which is a PERFECT match to my new camper. Charges the battery in under an hour while allowing me to use all the electrical components in the camper. With the wheel kit, I can take this anywhere without straining my back. My favorite feature is the dual fuel option. I love that I'm not limited and there's no "hardcore" configuration I need to do to switch fuels....just flip the switch to the desired fuel type and start it up! Propane delivers everything I need, but the gasoline option delivers a bit more power which is great for those heavier loads. This one is a NO-BRAINER....you will not be disappointed.;;Reviewed in the United States on September 7, 2018;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!;;JJ;;;7/21/2019 The warranty is useless. I called the company that Champion says does warranty repairs, they don't want it. That company had me call someone else who is no longer repairing generators. I had made up my mind that I would pay out of pocket but was told if it's a bad stator the cost would be extremely high. This machine was a total waste of money. Calling Champion is futile, I was on hold for a half hour before I gave up. 7/20/2019 Got the name of a company for warranty repair. They don't answer the phone or return voice mails. I'm over this. If you need service on the machine be prepared to struggle to get any. It's compact, quiet little machine. It should fit my needs when we have power outages. My issue with it is the placement of the oil filler. As a 67 year old woman, standing on my head to get .6 of a quart of oil in was a royal pain in my behind, my back, my knees. There really is no good reason the filler is not extended far enough that it can be reached easier. I dread having to drain the oil after the five hour trial run. And I fault the manufacturer for not packaging them for bumps and bashes. There are two dents in the frame. The 90 pound compressor I bought was packaged more securely with styro protecting the corners and bottom. Update: Dec 2019 Saw what looked like oil on the garage floor under the generator. I checked, it is leaking even though it's not being used. It might be coming from the oil filler, cleaned it all off and waiting to see if it continues. The unit is not overfilled so the question is, is it due to the hot/cold cycles here in the south? 04/20/2020 I go to use the unit during a power outage. There is no output. Now they're sending instructions for me to take things off the machine and disconnect wires looking for something that isn't working properly. I'm truly not happy with this situation. Not at all happy-Dropped Rating to 1
7/21/2019 The warranty is useless. If a never used past testing unit isn't functioning what does that foretell for the future?

Be aware of poor frame welds!
Be aware of poor frame welds! I unboxed the generator and found that the primary weld holding the frame together was broken (see photos). Thank God I was still within the return period. My rating is based on the poor frame weld (the frame that holds the engine in place). I didn't start the generator so I don't know how well it would have performed. I will choose another brand because having a poorly welded frame that breaks is a very bad sign of quality. I wouldn't want to count on this generator in the middle of a hurricane.

... quite economical I can tell you that it works excellent but my surprise was greater that also works even ...
I take the opportunity to tell about my experience with this product and to help anyone who is interested I am from Venezuela and buy this product with dual fuel taquers since in my country gasoline is quite economical I can tell you that it works excellent but my surprise was greater that also works even better with gas, if the gas coming from the street pipe or better said natural gas works excellent to its full capacity it can be on for many hours without worrying about filling tanks or loading cylinders and most importantly goodbye to the smell of monoxide, hire an electrician to do the installation and I could connect it to the main circuit of my house and the electric generator easily feeds me all my home without any problem I talk about light bulbs, refrigerator, televisions, pumps water among others an excellent product easy to install easy to use and power on great choice
