The media could not be loaded. I couldn't stop eyeing the color Sunday Tea. Honestly, I wasn't even sure exactly what I wanted to paint with it but I was so inspired by the color I took the leap and decided to make over my bedroom furniture. I got the 16oz jar and did two coats on my nightstand, 2 coats on a big lamp, and started on a buffet table that's been in my basement. I still have maybe a quarter of the jar left which is not enough to do my tall dresser, but I think it would've been plenty if I hadn't messed around with the lamp and buffet table. I used a primer, but I honestly don't think it was necessary. To apply I used synthetic bristle brushes to cut in, and a 4 inch foam roller for the rest. The roller did leave some texture but I think that was easier to sand smooth than brush strokes. I also made sure my brush and roller were slightly damp, and kept a spray bottle handy to mist the piece/thin out the paint as needed. It was so easy to work with. I love that it dries fast, so by the time you're finished with your first code you can go right back over with the second one. I also love that it didn't have any funky odors and was easy to clean up and clean out of my paint brushes so I can use them again. It's holding up fairly well, although I will say it's not a super durable finish. It does pick up scratches and scuffs rather easily so I am definitely planning to get some wax or something to seal & protect it. Compared to my experience using the really cheap chalk paint from big box stores, the quality of this paint is 100x better and well worth the money. ... show more

I used this to paint my bathroom cabinets which were getting sun damaged From the window. It was easy to paint them without streaks and they look smooth .     • My favorite chalk paint

I have been using this chalk paint for years and really like the all in one formula. It is much easier to apply if you buy the brush and plan on painting two thin coats. Also if the surface you’re painting has yellow or red tannins in the wood it will come through the lighter colors and will need to be sealed first. The best way to check for this is to paint a section and let it dry completely. If it has yellow or pink areas you will know it needs to be sealed first. After the paint dries I usually finish it with two or three thin coats of clear coat applied with a sponge. My pieces turn out great and the finish lasts a long time. ... show more

My parents had old green cabinets hanging in the basement. Instead of getting rid of them, I decided to repaint them and turn them into shelves. The paint is perfect ! It went on so smoothly and I really love the off white color. I'm letting in dry overnight before I put another coat on tomorrow (even though I really don't need to). . Perfect to add color to a resin garden statue. Excellent one-coat coverage, great consistency, very easy application, no noticeable odor during application or drying, fast stress-free cleanup of indoor application. Quick drying, but not too fast for removal of errors with damp cloth if done within a few minutes. Could not find a cure time, so left indoors for 24 hours before placing statue outside. It applied streaky then gunked up with a second coat. When I waxed it (a necessary step with chalk paint apparently) it lifted some of the paint. It's good for a rustic farmhouse look I guess, but that wasn't what I was going for. This paint was not worth the effort and money I put into it.
