A cute light up tree that is perfect for the fall and winter holidays. Easily decorated it brightens up any vacant table top. The battery compartment is a little loose on ours but other than that it's perfect!

At first I thought, man, this is cheesy. It's tape wrapped around a core that's marked to look like birch bark, and the branches are bendable wire with LEDs wrapped on them. But you know what? Cheese is good. What I like: it uses 3 AA batteries which means it will probably last awhile before I have to swap them out. Opening the battery compartment is easy (it's on the underside of the stand) and doesn't require a tool. The tree requires some basic assembly, which means screwing it onto the base and putting in the batteries. You do have to unfold the branches, then the fun part is bending them to your liking. The LEDs are those little bead-like things. When I look at them face-on, they're bright white, but they're also visible from the other side and look more yellowed. It adds some variety to the little tree. I've hung up some Halloween-themed bead decorations, but I liked this tree so much that I bought a black tree with glitter and orange lights specifically for Halloween. I want this one for the rest of the year. It's versatile and nice enough to just be a light on its own, without decorations, but I think the fun is going to be adding seasonal stuff to it. It is surprising how much light this actually puts out. I could probably read by it but it's really an accent piece and could make a nice nightlight. I put it on my desk and I'm hoping that a bit of light during the winter months will lift my mood. Decorations: the beads I hung on the tree are plastic and are pretty light. I wouldn't want to hang heavy ornaments or glass ornaments on this, but those plastic Christmas balls and paper decorations should do well. Cons: although I like this model, I do kind of wish I'd gotten the one that has USB capability so I can leave it on for extended periods. However, the battery one is great because it doesn't have to be tethered. All in all, I recommend this. I did think it wouldn't have enough LEDs on it, but I've changed my mind: more lights would be too garish and take away from the tree. The "bark" looks as realistic as printed tape can be, so if you don't peer too closely at it, it's fine.

This tree is basic but nice-looking, easy to assemble, sturdy, and lightweight. The fact that one can rearrange the branches to different shapes is a plus. It comes with two lighting modes: steady (continuous light on) and blinking, although the on/off frequency is a little too fast (it would be easy to make it slower or even go on/off in a slow, gradual transition using a cheap modification of the circuitry). I tested it in the steady mode, and it remained bright enough for the first 12 hours; for the following 12 hs, the light became dimmer but still okay; for the following 12 hs (a total of 36, when I turned it off), the light was still on, but you could see it only in the dark. I used three rechargeable Duracell AA (double A) batteries. Surprisingly, 12 hours after turning it off, I turned it on again without changing the batteries, and the light was quite bright again. I don't know whether this is an issue with the lamps or the rechargeable batteries that needed a rest. The price (currently $13) is fair.

The 2ft mini white birch tree is so cute! The warm white lights are beautiful. I am happy I ordered this one, the LEDs are added to the tree secure. The tree takes batteries not included, and the switch is on the bottom. The branches move easily and it will be a nice addition to Christmas decor. Currently, I added some fall leaves on it. I'm planning on using this in the dining room for a Thanksgiving celebration.

This is cute but honestly not something I’d normally get. It looks cute lit up but it seems pretty cheap. It was easy to put together but I’m not sure how long it’ll last or how long the batteries will last.
