I've tried dozens of hand lotions and creams -- NOTHING, even Cetaphil Restoraderm Soothing Moisturizer alone, worked to relieve the pain from my parchment-like dry hands. I wash often and well, and have had dry hands since childhood which have worsened over time to parchment-like in many areas. This is NOT greasy, but is thicker so takes longer to soak in. I apply this only overnight (and repeat if I'm up and re-wash). Daytime I use the Cetaphil Restoraderm Soothing Moisturizer occasionally, and that's fine when combined with overnight use of this Flare-Up Relief cream. I'm so grateful to Cetaphil for this relatively new product, and grateful that I ran across it when I'd really given up on finding relief.

I love getting my nails done! I always have had a little eczema on the palms of my hands but nothing a little moisturizer wouldn't take care of. (I inherited this from my father who had it a little). I noticed in the last couple of years it seemed to be getting a little worse. (I retired, sold my house and downsized and bought a townhouse. I was having a fair amount of stress.) Then about 3-4 months ago it started getting even worse and the moisturizer just wasn't doing anything for it. I woke up one morning and my palms were swollen, red, cracked looking and bleeding. I went to my PC doctor and he prescribed a steroid ointment. It worked ok but never really completely took care of it and every time it came back it was worse and large patches of peeling skin were appearing. It was starting to be painful. (I wish I had taken a picture). Now it was starting to appear on the back of my hands and I was getting embarrassed to get my nails done. I was now considering making an appt with a dermatologist and was trying all kinds of OTC lotions, creams and ointments. Then I FOUND THIS PRODUCT. I cannot say enough good things about this lotion. I started using it and it was very cooling and soothing so that was nice and after just a few days I could see an amazing improvement on my hands. They also have a product that is a flare up repair heavy cream in a tube and that works really well. I use both and the body wash. My hands are completely healed now and 2 months later still no eczema flare ups. I was hiding my hands when I went places and was so embarrassed so I am truly hoping that people will read this review, try this product and hopefully it will help more people. All 3 of their eczema products are just wonderful!!

Overall this is a great product if you try to avoid prescription steroid creams like I do. I recently had a VERY bad flare up during pollen season and ordered a slew of new products I could get quickly. I like this product enough to carry it in my purse still. My flare up was too bad and I ended up needing oral steroids so this is not something that made a difference in a bad flare. It is still great for us eczema people as a general cream to give some relief. I do recommend trying this product if you have eczema. It goes on well, doesn't burn and does help give some relief. I have learned in my 34 years that there is no Miracle Eczema cream so I wouldnt expect that from any product. However, this is great tohave on hand for the start of a flare and to use as a thicker moisturizer. I will order this again when I'm out!

I applied this for the first time last night right before bed and was amazed at how much it had improved my skin overnight. I have been dealing with persistent, very red, quite sore, and itchy condition on the back of both of my hands, and over my wrists for the past two weeks. After applying this and that to help clear up this puzzling skin condition, I gave up and tried this product. I couldn't believe how much better my skin feels and looks this morning. The improvement is actually shocking! I have no idea what might have caused this terrible skin condition, but my guess is that I came in contact with something in my backyard after resuming my gardening recently. I'm awful at wearing gardening gloves and I also have super sensitive skin. And my yard does contain a few plants that can cause irritation if touched. I cannot say enough about how well this product worked, and I plan to continue to apply it until every trace of this dreadful rash vanishes.

Admittedly I was skeptical that this would help my eczema but the good news is....it did work. After the first application the very next day I saw a little improvement and this has continued. After trying many creams, literally nearly everything on the market, I find this product to be the best. The eczema was very prominent on my face and was a daily stress each time I looked into the mirror. Suffice it to say, it appears as this battle will soon be won. I'm only sorry that I didn't take 'before' pictures, but frankly I was too embarrassed and would not have felt comfortable posting them.

I don't actually know if I actually have eczema, I'm pretty sure I have dry, itchy skin due to menopause. I have tried many different lotions and none have really helped much. This stuff is a bit pricey, but definitely worth it for the relief it provides. It smells a bit hospital-y, but not too bad and I assume they don't want to add fragrances to the formulation. The smell only lasts a few minutes anyway. I have only experienced "pilling" one time, I think it was because I used more than I usually do. I have added this to my Subscribe and Save because I don't want to be caught without it! Thanks, Cetaphil!

Review for: CETAPHIL ECZEMA RESTORADERM FLARE-UP RELIEF CREAM I'm 67 yo. I have dealt with eczema my entire life. Sometimes worse then other times. The point is, the dryness, itching, breaking open of skin, oozing nastiness is all too much at times. Steroids get real old in a short amount of time, oral and topical. This is the answer to my prayer, something to protected my skin from the git go! The only store I found it in is a Walmart and I don't like going to the Walmart so I ordered from Amazon. The price difference was negligible. You have to try this, trust me, it really works.
