My mother-in-law frequently loses her very expensive hearing aids because they're so small. We thought we'd give these a try since there certainly larger and much harder to lose. They have worked surprisingly well, we even bought a second pair so that one can be fully charged at all times. She says the sound quality is not quite as good, but good enough, and at least they're not getting lost every couple of months. It does have 2 sound modes but both sound modes sound like everything has been put in a bucket. It magnifies sound but the sound quality is terrible, I still can't make out what people are saying.

User has problems with earbuds because of ear structure. The domes that came with the unit are too small. "Ear clips" are included, but there is no instruction (other than L and R) as to how they are supposed to work The photos above are ambiguous and getting the angle right is thus far impossible. Some ear-clip guidance would be helpful, but the instruction book doesn't mention this. When we decide that there is no way for them to stay in his ears they're going back. Amazon 'chat' support is of no use at all. Ultimately a video for a different brand unit was suggested, which did not address the problem. If you need a video to show you how to charge a USB device your problem is bigger than your hearing loss. Aside from that, they seem to be made decently. I can wear them, but the quietest setting is way too loud. I don't know how 'mild' my hearing loss is (sudden from loud noise right next to ear), but it needs to be a lot worse before this unit would be usable. Separate volume controls for left and right ear would be nice. I'm really disappointed, because these COULD be a very good solution to high-frequency hearing loss -- otherwise known as getting older :-( ... show more

I've had over a half dozen different hearing devices during the past few years and this apparatus does a better job than most others. The sound of voices is crisp and clear and it doesn't give off the feedback whistle so annoying with other units. I have a bit of trouble keeping them in my ears but that has always been a problem for me. With these, I simply put a pair of headphones on top of them and it secures them nicely. I'll probably buy another one just to have as a spare. For the $35 price tag I think it an excellent buy. ... show more

I bought these for my husband. He purchased with insurance a set of $5000 earring aids through his ENT doctor. The plugs kept coming off and lodging so deep into his ear that it took a doctor to get them out. This happened multiple times. He was always taking them off outside for fear of losing them while doing yard maintenance. Then there was the batteries to buy and replace and he couldn’t hear much better with them. So we thought he should check out other options. This was the first choice of the other options. He can hear so well with these that he lowers his voice to almost a whisper. He never misses a word now. We have a happy home again. No batteries to replace. No fear of losing expensive ones. No loose parts to fall into his ear. If your job requires earring aids, I would ask the doctor to certify these instead of spending hard earned money on an expensive pair that does not work. ... show more

Way too loud. not adjustable. do not hold charge for long and what's with the caution about getting the ear piece stuck and having to pay a dr to remove them..sheesh! Plus when they arrived they caution to not use if we have tinnitus. never mentioned this in the ad. I have tinnitus.. I tried using them but if you weren't already deaf you would be bc they are so loud. Like if they were $10 but not this much. No don't waste your money. ... show more
