I was heartbroken when my Cerwin Vega KW-12 Sub died after 25+ years in my home studio, so I thought I might try to save some cash by purchasing a cheaper 1400 Watt!!(lol) off-brand 12" Sub. Within an hour of receiving the new one, I had re-packed it and put in for a return. I gave an honest review describing it as "a 45# Bass Kazoo". I then purchased a Cerwin Vega SL 10S knowing I can trust the sound quality. I was a bit concerned downsizing to a 10" but I love it. OMFG!!!!! The power is absolutely amazing!!!!!! So first I replaced a Sony receiver from the early 90's. Then I replaced all my speakers with Cerwin Vega. I bought the entire SL series, front, center,height and rear speakers. I didn't really need a subwoofer, but I wanted the entire SL series so everything would match. Good God, the power, the sound is absolutely phenomenal, AMAZINGLY GREAT!!!! Now I'm also thinking about buying another subwoofer just for a little bit more balance. This is my first time owning Cerwin Vega speakers. OMFG, the power and base these speakers can put out. I love base heavy music and movies. Kick Ass! I highly recommend, pretty expensive for the whole set, but well worth the money if you are into base heavy music and movies Kick Ass power!!!!!!!!!!! ... show more

    • Troubleshooting an apparent ground loop problem.
Product received a day earlier than expected. Now I am chasing down an apparent ground loop problem I did not have with the 20-year old subwoofer I am replacing. Since I must turn the volume almost all the way down to eliminate most of the annoying hum, I can’t really comment on sound quality.

Absolutely love this product! I’ve been waiting to buy this for a while to complete my Cerwin Vega setup! The sound quality is insane! So true to the tones, really really deep, and bumping bass. I have this in a less than 1000 sq apartment and it’s perfect. The ports are nice in the back, and the design of this is great. They also include little notches if you’d like raised off the ground but I love that you get to choose that! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Product worked fine at first. Now all of a sudden the sub produces very little sound even when amp is on max volume. and everytime the sub goes into standby mofe or i turn it off/unplug it, it makes a quick pop and the cone of the woofer does a weird in out thing. It is broken. bad product. I usually like cerwin vegas stuff. 2 stars because when it did work it was loud and everything i wanted it to be heres a video of what it does, the clicking sound at first is me turning it off witht the switch in the back ... show more
