My husband has a cervical injury that he has to get injections for, so you can imagine how important getting the right pillow can be. He like this one mainly for the cooling feel to it and says it supports his head and neck in the right positions to keep him from hurting all through the night or in the morning. I would not say this is a very thick pillow. It may be when you first get it, however after a few months it gets a little flatter. Not flat enough that your head sinks all the way to the bed, just a little bit where you probably won't even notice. The memory foam in it is pretty soft and bounces back when you squeeze it. It is more of a soft, comfortable memory foams and not like the really stiff ones that they use to make, blah! Overall it is not a bad choice. However, the BEST memory foam pillow you could ever get would be a Royal Therapy pillow. We wanted to get another one instead of this because we know how well they work and how heavenly they feel. Unfortunately they are high priced pillow and we couldn't afford 2 at the time. They are worth every penny though. They are sold through Amazon if you want to check them out, you won't regret it.

I bought this to help with TMJ issues and neck misalignment, which had induced severe somatic tinnitus in my left ear that I was waking up with every day. It was torture and I was falling into a deep depression from this. The first night after sleeping with this pillow I did not wake up with tinnitus. I'm so thankful for it honestly, it gave me a new lease on life because I felt hopeless and miserable before then. In terms of the pillow itself, I like how there are two different heights to choose from, which gives it a more customized fit to your neck. It stays cool and it feels balanced between soft and firm. I was not bothered by the smell of the pillow, it's not strong compared to some other memory foam products I've purchased before. I like the honeycomb like pillowcase also, it has a nice texture. All in all, it feels very supportive. The only problem I have run into, which is no fault of the pillow itself, is that I'm getting lower back pain now when I wake up. But this is due to my bad mattress not being able to compensate for my new sleeping posture. Once that is taken care of, everything will be perfect!

I bought a pillow a few months ago that I was (and continue to be) very happy with (see my other reviews). My wife also wanted one, but it was a bit too high for her on one side (the high contour). The measurements on this pillow were a bit lower, so I bought one to try. I tried it first to compare it to my other pillow, then my wife tried it. My opinion: This is also an excellent pillow. It feels like it uses the exact same memory foam material as my other one, which is great. The rebound is exactly the same, the feel is the same high quality, and somehow (don't ask me how) they've managed to create a pillow that's firm enough to support my neck, while still feeling soft enough to give me a full night's comfortable sleep. The pillow has a very high quality protector on it, which unzips for easy washing. It feels silky and smooth to the touch, and the workmanship on it is top-notch. The memory foam inside is then protected by yet another cloth cover, which is stitched all around. Very nice. When I unpacked it, it took shape immediately. It had a slight smell to it (off gassing from the new foam), but this was greatly reduced after 24 hours, and gone in 48 hours. So I suggest leaving it for a day after unpacking before using it. But my wife says I have a freakishly strong sense of smell, so maybe you won't even notice. She didn't. The high side of the contour is visibly lower than my other pillow. My measurement shows 4.9" on the high side, and 3.63" on the low side. The high side on my other pillow is 5.4". I was looking for a lower high side for my wife, so this was perfect. The sleep on it was excellent. I slept soundly all night, and never felt uncomfortable like I do when pillows are too soft or too firm. I could easily live with both pillows, but I'll never have the chance because my wife took this new one for herself permanently. My wife's opinion: My wife is a picky pillow person. I have an entire cupboard full of failed pillow purchase attempts (a.k.a. the pillow graveyard), so I was nervous buying this one. I'm in Canada and this came from the US (much cheaper for these pillows in the US compared to Canada!), so I knew returns would be difficult. Well, no more worries. The first night she used it, she said it felt firm for her. She was used to a much softer pillow. However, she said this pillow clearly supports her neck much better, and she slept better than she had in a long time, so she committed to continue using it for a few more days to see how it feels. By the 3rd night she was already used to it, and said this is her new permanent pillow (yay!). You have no idea how many complaints about pillows I've heard from her over the years, but this pillow has finally satisfied her. The height of the high contour side is perfect for her (she's 5'6", slim). She prefers this pillow's height over my pillow. She generally tosses and turns a lot, but that has been reduced as well. And I'm not sure if she's noticed, but I've noticed she comments about pain in her neck a lot less. That means the pillow is doing a great job. This pillow is a winner. I recommend it. My wife recommends it. Give it a try.

I bought this pillow for my son because he was complaining about neck pain. He noticed a difference in how well he slept the very first night! His neck was not in as much pain in the morning. The cover is super soft and silky and I love that it is machine-washable and easy to put back on. It’s great that there are two different heights of the pillow, in case one works better for you. It also seems to stay pretty cool. I would absolutely recommend this pillow if you want relief from neck pain and a great night’s sleep!

I have a lot of cervical pain and have been looking for a good supportive pillow and I have tried many This was just one of the many I've tried I tried it for almost a week so I gave it a fair try Pros After 2 days there was no smell coming out of it. The cooling gel really does work and it's a very cooling Con At 5.3 inches high the neck higher side was too high for my neck I'm 5 ft 4 in and I found it pushed up my neck a lot even after a couple of days it did not really soften The low side is way too low and pushes your chin towards your neck when you sleep so that's not worth using it all It's not just low it's the shape of it If the higher side is opposite your neck then it's going to push your neck down so I don't see the point of offering two sides when one side really cannot do what it's supposed to do which is cradle your neck gap I was really excited for it but I had to return it!
