I was surprised that this pillow helped lessen the pain in my right shoulder for sleeping. Once you find the right position that's good for you it's pretty amazing. Although it doesn't cure shoulder pain, it definitely helped me get more comfortable. I found that sleeping on my back was most beneficial, even though I am a side sleeper. However you can find a position that is half on your back and half on your side. I also put my arms in all kinds of positions till I felt fine. You can also put it upright to lean against when reading, and surprisingly it feels firm and good despite the weird shape, and I put a soft pillow on top of it to lean my head back on to make it easier for reading.

I was skeptical about this pillow when my husband showed this to me on Amazon. Yes I read the great reviews and saw all the 5 star ratings but would it really help me? Would it work for me? I was used to all the pillows in stores advertising that it was "perfect for side sleepers" only to be disappointed and wake up the next day same as before with knots on my neck/shoulder and unable to turn my head in either direction without having to turn my whole body as well, used to the headaches as a result of neck pain from pillows that were "perfect for side sleepers". Had been used to it for years and just been dealing with it taking OTC and prescription pain pills that did not work. Therefore when I was shown this I figured it would be like the rest of the pillows. Boy was I wrong. I had to let this pillow sit out in the open for 24 hours upon receiving it per the little instruction card that came with it. Also the card said there may be a slight smell which there was but it didn't smell bad. To me it smelled sanitary but pleasantly so. The smell dissipated in about two days. The instruction card also said it may cause some discomfort up to 2 weeks as your neck adjusts to being in the proper alignment. I was thinking, "Great. Two more weeks of being in pain when this pillow is supposed to help." However, the first night I laid on it, there was no discomfort. I could lay on my back and my sides and I found that on my back and right side I use the "small" side of the pillow and on my left side I put the previous top side to the bottom side and that side is a little higher than the other one. The first night I did not wake up with knots and I could turn my head from side to side without pain. I also noticed no more headaches off and in during the day from my neck pain. I've never been a back sleeper but with this pillow I can lay on my back and go to sleep. It's been almost a month now and this is the only pillow that has ever helped me. I was amazed and am still amazed. I used to put rolled up towels between my neck and the mattress with the pillows I used before to get some comfort but the towels never helped. This pillow doesn't have me using towels or anything else. I kept thinking during the first week, "Okay it won't work tonight. It's gonna stop working tonight. I'll wake up with knots tomorrow." Hasn't happened yet. I even bought one for my husband and he's happy with his as well. These are the only pillows we have on our bed now and this is honestly the only pillow that has ever helped me. I do highly recommend this pillow if you're having problems sleeping on your side or back due to neck/shoulder pain. I will not use another pillow, this is the last for us. We are two very satisfied customers

I really like this pillow. I am a stomach and side sleeper and this pillow allows me to sleep both ways without waking up with a stiff neck and sore shoulders. The memory foam is supportive and comfortable. Other types of pillows end up with all the stuffing at either end of the pillow and my head laying in a canoe resulting in overheating, stiff neck, and sore shoulders. This pillow prevents all of that.

This pillow is unlike any other pillow I’ve tried before, and I’ve tried many. I’m still getting used to it, but so far I find it to be of good quality, soft, and a nice shape to put your arm up when sleeping on your side. I like that one side is higher than the other side so you can choose which side to lay on depending on how your neck feels that day. I’m hopeful that over time this pillow will help with my neck pain and overall sleep quality.

The cooling in this pillow is true to claim. It feels like you’re laying on a brick of ice at first. The support that i have now for my neck is amazing. I’ve only used the pillow for about a week now. I don’t wake up with my neck being stiff. I don’t wake up with shoulder pain. I can actually feel the difference. I can feel that my neck is actually being supported with this pillow. I can feel that my neck is actually staying aligned with my body the way it should when I sleep on my side. It’s a great support pillow. I’ve only had it about a week but it’s great so far. It is a little on the thick side. It doesn’t feel like it’s too thick. Nor does it feel uncomfortable. It does take a night or 2 to get used to it. Once you wake up without the stiff neck, shoulder pain and soreness you’ll continue to want to use this pillow.

My daughter had this pillow and said it helped her headaches go away. So I bought it without any real expectations thinking "what's the worst it could do?" Well, I've had it for a little while and let me tell you I love it!! At first the appearance is kinda funny, but once you sleep on it for the first few nights you'll love it! The quality is great and you can also wash the cover. I fully believe it was worth the $22 I spent on it, I don't wake up with neck/headaches anymore.

Edit: after a few weeks, I’ve figured out this pillow is just too high for me as a back sleeper. It helped alleviate my existing bulging discs, but introduced new ones because it was too high. I’ve got a slim build– this may be better suited for a man or someone with a larger build. Will be returning :( Original: The first pillow to give me relief for my herniated discs! This is the fourth pillow I ordered and I wish it was the first. My pain is nearly nonexistent when I wake up and I’m not crying in pain trying to fall asleep. Great quality and great results.

I really like this pillow although it was a little different than what I’m used to. I usually go for super firm ones (like the Serta pillows), and this one is definitely on the softer side even after letting it fluff up for a day. That being said, the contour shape feels really good and actually supports my neck really well. I was having a lot of pain lately and I’m a side sleeper and it’s been great for that, it kind of cradles your head in the right spot. If you’re used to a rock-hard pillow, just know this has a bit more "give" to it, but it’s still very supportive for neck pain. Definitely glad I tried it, the thickness and quality are really good and worth the value and a standard pillow case seems to fit over it nicely so it'll be slip resistant. There's no adjustability but you an sleep with it on your back or side so I bet it's flexible for a lot of people. The Best Parts: -Side-Sleeper Approved: shape is perfect if you sleep on your side -Neck Support: contours really help with getting rid of those morning neck aches. -Super Soft: great if you want support without it feeling like a brick. -Unique Shape: feels really ergonomic and good for different sleep positions
