I have used goose down feather pillows since I left home as a young adult. I have always loved them. As I have gotten older, I began suffering from neck pain most mornings. I found the cervical neck pillow on Amazon and figured it might be worth the price if I could get better sleep and not wake up in pain. This pillow is nothing like a goose down pillow, so it took me a week to get used to sleeping with it. However, since using it, I don't toss and turn. I find I wake up in the same position as the night before. I feel rested and I haven't endured any neck pain. It is quite soft and comfortable. I believe I read this pillow is similar to the therapeutic mattresses that your body sinks into. I tried to imagine sleeping on a pillow where my head would sink into the pillow. Oddly enough, I don't feel trapped by the pillow. This pillow concaves in the center and I don't have a long neck, so my head doesn't stretch to the center of the pillow. However, it is so soft and cushioning, it hasn't been a factor for me. In fact, I am a side sleeper and in my late 60's so staying in one position means stiffness in the morning (shoulder stiffness from sleeping on my shoulder through the night). But with this pillow, I don't have the same pinched nerve pain I would wake up with using my favorite goose down pillow. I don't know how that is possible, but this pillow has not only relived neck pain, but shoulder pain as well. I sleep alone, so I only purchased one pillow. If you share a bed, you may want to buy two; you'll want to share this experience. (It does take some getting used to, but it won't take long to adjust)

The contoured memory foam does a wonderful job of cradling the head and aligning the spine, which is incredibly helpful for reducing morning stiffness in the neck and shoulders. It maintains its shape well throughout the night, offering a firm yet comfortable foundation that works particularly well for side and back sleepers who need targeted orthopedic relief. While the physical support from the memory foam is impressive, the unique contour shape presents a minor practical challenge when it comes to standard bedding. I found it was quite difficult to put a standard pillowcase on this pillow due to its specialized ergonomic curves. Furthermore, because of the slick material of the built-in protective cover and the pillow's unique shape, standard pillowcases kept slipping off during the night for some reason. It requires a bit of readjustment to keep the bedding secure, which might be a consideration if you prefer using your own matching sheet sets. The overall build quality of the foam is durable and it lacks the strong chemical odor that often accompanies new memory foam products. The included cover is breathable and feels soft against the skin if you choose to use it without an additional layer. I used this pillow the first night I received it. I've had such awful neck pain, kinks, stiffness that goes all the way through my shoulders, toss and turn all night trying to find a position that doesn't hurt. I asked my dr, he wanted to send me to physical therapy. I already excercise that area so that wasn't the answer. Went to chiropractor, acupuncture for 8 weeks, no help, so I really didn't believe a pillow would make a difference. After first night, I woke with none of the pain, stiffness. I had slept through the night for first time in a long time. I love this pillow. It has a lot of 5 star reviews, so I was hopeful. I'm amazed that modern medical practices could not do what this pillow did in one night. I'm a stomach and side sleeper and it's very comfy. Also, a queen size pillow case works grwat. I very much recommend this pillow.

Pros: The pillow provides firm support and definitely aligns the spine as it should, esp. when sleeping on my back. My neck pain and stiffness seem to be stable, and I'm now less concerned about awakening in a bad position that causes pain. The coolness of the pillow is very nice. The pillow is very lightweight and of good quality. Cons: The stifnness of the memory foam makes it less plush than I would like. The center cavity is not wide and deep enough, and as a result, I feel like I am resting my head on a thin bar stool cushion meant for heavy duty use. I added a pillowcase to try to reduce the odd feeling of sleeping on a stiff sponge. After more than 3 weeks of trying this, every night still feels like a "chore", as I try to find comfort. Sleeping on my side is even worse. Although my doctor says I'm really just average height and neck length, the center cavity seems a little too far away from the edge (no matter which way I flip it). So, when attempting to side sleep, it's hard to get my head to fully rest in the center cavity, making me feel like I am propping my head up unnecessarily. As I sleep, I wind up turning onto my back as a result, which is OK, as long as my head is still within the center of the small-ish cavity.

I was skeptical of buying yet another pillow that was advertised to get rid of neck pain but the reviews on this one were pretty good. After two nights of sleeping on it my neck pain has disappeared and I am sleeping through the night without turning and tossing and trying to rearrange my pillow. I am a side and back sleeper and this pillow is great for both. It had a slight odor when first opened but it disappeared in a few hours. The price was reasonable and the pillow is perfect! I bought this pillow due to the fact I have consistent migraines and neck pain. Basically I can never get comfortable on any regular pillow and really just wanted to try this for myself. I wish I would have recorded when I opened the package because the moment I touched it and felt how soft and fluffy it was I had already fallen in love. However I still needed to try sleeping on it. The first night I tried it out it definitely felt different. Not like a normal pillow. It is very soft and comfortable on my neck and gives my head a good sleeping position. I have not quite figured out the arm placement within the groove but I just think that is me. woke up this morning and realized I had slept through the night and actually felt rested! Im hoping it continues to be comfortable
