Wow I love my new Certina! I only found out this watch brand existed last week but after seeing reviews and learning more about its heritage I ordered it and received it today. It’s very well built and I am very happy with its size. I have large ex bricklayer forearms and this watch still looks great! I only have 2 holes left in the band so if your wrists are around 8 inches it will still fit. I have 43 mm+ watches and for an everyday watch I prefer this size much more. A Swiss made automatic with 80 hours standby and shock resistance and a certified dive watch to 300 meters pressure resistance for under 1000$ is an excellent value proposition. The anti reflective coating works great. I tested it outside with other sapphire crystal watches with and without coating and it works very well. The dial is absolutely black which I didn’t realize how awesome that is until I compared it to other black dial watches I have and it really makes it look much more high end and very readable. The rotating bezel is tight as a drum in a good way. I plan on buying extra bands just for fun because I don’t plan on wearing my other watches very often now! I was looking to buy the Longines dive watch but I think this Certina is more unique and not just submariner competition and half the price! I am a dog groomer and I bathe about 8-10 dogs a day and sometimes really abuse my watches. I used mechanical autos before and they would lose a little time because of the bathing action or if I wore them mountain biking because of extreme vibrations and I’m exited to see if this watch with its vibration resistance will be up to the abuse. I didn't want to bring my Omega dive watch on international spear-fishing trips anymore, so I started researching a high quality alternative at an affordable price. If that is your goal, look no further than this watch. This is a real ISO Certified dive watch with impact resistance, not a toy watch that most dive watches are at this price. My Omega Seamaster has never received one compliment, but this Certina DS Action Diver gets compliments and questions all the time. I’ve had my eye on this watch for some time. The specs are beyond reproach, and the look is excellent. I have been wearing it for a week now, and love it! A great Swiss brand with long history, Certina has produced a dive watch in this model that rivals watches that run 3 to 10 times higher in cost. After years of writing watch reviews for Monochrome, I am at loss for recounting this watch's many superlatives. First, it is one of five production watches that can handle a 10 G force. Note only the 40.5mm (which wears more like a 39mm) has this tech under the hood. Richard Mille offers a watch for tennis and another for golf - both over a million to buy. IWC who owns the watch name TOP GUN and supplied watches for the movie, Top Gun Maverick, makes a watch that can fly off the carrier. After watch after watch was destroyed by the forces of a F/A-18, they decided to make a watch that can withstand 10 G; it is eighty thousand, which no Naval Aviator can afford. Ball offers the closest rival with a higher but reasonable price, making this watch an absolute beast for diving, flying, climbing, rafting, skiing, golf, or whatever you want to throw at it. This thing is a beauty in person. Lots of compliments from watch enthusiasts and those who barely know watch brands. Wore it on a recent family beach day outing- withstood ocean, sand, everything... and it sat well on my 7.5" wrist.
