I wanted slow feed bowls for my Shih Tzu who eats so quickly, that you’d think he hadn’t been fed in a month! I particularly wanted ceramic after reversing his liver problems through diet changes and preventing exposure to unnecessary plastics. These bowls do the job, and beautifully too!! The half cup size is the perfect size for his meals (4 oz of FD-DIY). Even without the rubber feet, they did not budge on his placemat. It slowed him down enough that he wasn’t burping when he was done, and the grooves aren’t so small that he can’t enjoy the (previously elusive) last piece of broccoli. The only things I would ask the seller to consider are create their other designs for the smaller fluff balls, add coordinating water (regular) bowls I’m testing a slow feed for water now, and add more color options (olive green, navy blue, green camo)! I WILL be buying more as these are priced well for what you get, good weight, beautiful design, high quality slow feeding ceramic (sanitize-able) bowls, that arrive in quality protective packaging that can withstand transport and deliver, and shipped/received in a day. Thank you for a quality product that surpassed my expectations!

The media could not be loaded. I was skeptical of these slow feed bowls, but I was desperate. I adopted a cat that lived outdoors for the first 7 months of her life. She has serious food insecurities. I'm glad I chose this particular bowl. It's ceramic (safer than plastic) and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. I only use it for dry food, so clean up is a breeze. The first morning I used it, her dry food lasted 4 hours before it was all gone. That's a record for my ravenous kitty. I have an elevated food bowl stand, and the size of this bowl fits perfectly. It's heavy enough that it doesn't move, although it does come with a small 4 pad suction cup piece that can adhere to the bottom of the bowl. I kept it, but doesn't appear I'll need it. I think with this causing her to eat slower, her gut has time to feel full, so she doesn't keep gorging herself. I can't say enough about this little gem. Great idea. PS. The color is deep orange and pretty. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I was skeptical this would work. my Siberian kitten, Pippin, has been scarfing down his food and vomiting after every meal. Since placing his food in this bowl he has slowed down, no more inhaling his dinner. And no vomiting afterwards. So I’m extremely pleased! Even his big brother, Enzo (who eats Uber slow) prefers this dish. No clue why, but I’m not complaining lol. Pros: slows pet down, Well made, no edges Cons: nooks can be hard to clean

I bought this bowl for my cat who I think is very comfortable now and gets super excited for meal time. I wanted something heavy enough that he couldn't push it around in the night (anxiously waiting for the feeder to go off). This is like the weight of a regular ceramic bowl, not very heavy at all, he pushes it around all the time until I got velcro to stick to the bottom of it and the floor. The slow feeding works on my cat and he finishes his dry food in the morning in about 15 min, and reduced his regurgitation a lot. However, it's super easy for him to push this bowl around the floor all night!

Solid dog bowl, but the grooves to make this a "slow eating" bowl just does not work as expected. My dog still just quaffs down the food in a few minutes. It's a small bowl (two cups would likely fill it up) that I use one cup of kibbles for my dog. Easy to clean as it is ceramic so it's a good normal bowl. Not that good in regards to slowing down the dog from eating too fast. If you are looking for a regular dog bowl, this works just fine. If you are looking for a slow-feeding dog bowl, then this probably will not slow down your dog. The wavy grooves are just too shallow in the small bowl. The grooves needed to be much taller in the bowl.

After looking at all the slow feeding bowls available, I decided I wanted to do ceramic instead of plastic because of how easily they tend to break. I found this company, originally through their dog bowls, but then found this little cat dish. It's perfect! The final convincing came from all the reviews of owners using it with automatic feeders. Our big boy horks his food so quickly and this actually slows him down to where he leaves some behind! Later he will come by and graze it but it makes him work for it and has really helped with keeping him at a healthy weight. I love all the colors and designs and felt lucky that it just happened to fit right in the space where the tray used to be in our automatic feeder. Definitely recommend!
