This is my first time using a flat iron. I was surprised that it could also be used as a curling iron. My hair is very straight, and I never thought I would need to use a flat iron. My hair stylist used one on my hair to give my cut a sleeker look and to get rid of the frizzies, so I thought I would get one for home use. My hair is on the shorter side and very thin, so while this works for me, it didn't grab on to my hair as well as I would like. I'm not sure if it's the ceramic blades or that my hair is so thin. I can see this tool being much better for longer thicker hair. I did try a few curls. There is a learning curve to doing that, but it did work as a curling iron just fine. The best thing about this iron is that it does indeed heat up quickly, and it's easy to switch heat settings with the press of a button (which is on the inside of the handle). I like that there are different heat settings to choose from for different hair textures and different hair styles. It is lightweight but feels solid in your hand The iron is attractively designed; and once you get used to it, it's fun to experiment with different styles. With the current coupon offer this one is a bargain.

I love using the Vine program to try types of products I've never tried before. That is why I got a flat iron even though I have straight hair. I'm so glad I did. When I blow dry my hair, it can get full of static and so not behave itself. The flat iron let me dry my hair and leave it shiny and static free. I can also use it to straighten or curl my hair extensions. It can also dry, curl or and iron small items - ribbons, fabric belts, etc. I'm excited to discover how else a flat iron can help a person with straight hair....

This had some features I really liked but the overall functionality wasn't there for my long, coarse hair. The purple is pretty and is as pictured. When the plates are clamped together, it has a light magnetic close which helps with hand fatigue so you're not having to hold a tight grip while using it. The power and temperature setting button is on the inside which prevents you from accidently hitting buttons while using. With coarse hair I need to use higher temps for my hair to straighten and this gets up to the ideal temp BUT it has a hard time holding that heat. My hair is shoulder blade length and I was finding that just halfway down a section, the plates were just warm. I tried slowing down my passes and it helped a little but still had issues with keeping it a consistent heat. The plates did glide fine closer to the top of my section where it was thicker but if you have thinner ends, it does have a tendency to drag and pull more than I'd like. I ran into this issue as well while telling to use it as a curler

This is a workable flat iron. It will do the job for sure & look pretty doing it. That being said, for me, I like irons that have a way to stand themselves, so they don't roll onto the side, wanting to burn my counter. I suppose using a mat to protect would help, but, that's just my preference. Also, even when the clamp was all the way closed it wasn't closed shut. there was a gap, it just seemed strange that the closed position wouldn't be closed all the way. When you use it manually, it does, of course close all the way, so you are able to flat iron your hair perfectly fine. I took a photo where you can wee the gap it has between the tongs when the clamp only is used. It does the job, as advertised & it IS really pretty. the things I don't like are personal preferences & not things that the item was advertised to have.

Overall, would not recommend. These don't really get hot enough, and it's really the bare bones of straighteners, meaning it doesn't shut close and it doesn't have feet to protect the surface below. I think if there was a way to clamp it closed, it would retain heat better. 2 stars instead of 1 because it's cute, it's cheap and it's very entry level, not worth the $.

ZEOEZHBI Ceramic Flat Iron Hair Straightener and Curler 2 in 1, Hair Straightener Flat Iron Curling tool. The lavender color is very pretty and the flat iron heated up fairly quickly, that's about all the positives I have for this hair tool. The temperatures are listed in Celsius, but the heat produced did not seem as hot as the corresponding Fahrenheit temperatures. The plates tended to drag down the hair shafts and at times felt like it would not move without excessive pulling of the tool. I did not find that straightener worked as well as other budget straighteners I have used. I was afraid to try to curl my hair with this tool due to the drag on the hair strands and fear of hair being caught and damaged. Maybe I got a lemon.

I have straight hair, but often times run a straightener thru it to make it smoother and get rid of a tiny bend in my hair. This straightener is a complete dud!! It doesn't get even remotely hot enough. I waited 20 mins and still could actually tough the inside of it without burning myself. I ran it thru my hair multiple times on the hottest setting super slow and squeezing very tightly and my hair looked the exact same as before. Worthless. I also do not like that the cord doesn't have a rotating connection to the flat iron, the cord gets twisted and awkward to hold. Would not recommend to anyone.
