  • Raving about a toilet seat?!? YES!!!!!
Color: White Size: Elongated Style: Standard Slow Close
You must first know that we are replacing a cheap quiet-close seat. It was quiet and held up well, but it MOVED AROUND! That's pretty unacceptable in a toilet seat. No matter how much we tightened it down, it started moving again soon. The manufacturer of our new seat should really tout that they put some SMALL SUCTION CUPS under the hinges. This almost keeps the seat from moving before you screw it down! And once you tighten it down, it's NOT going ANYWHERE! Also, I'm a big guy and I really like the heavy, sturdy feel of this seat. Nothing flimsy about this one. All-in-all, this a thoroughly excellent replacement seat and now I am going to buy one of their round ones for our half-bath. If you want a great toilet seat, get one of these! ... show more

  • You Don't Need To Get Down on Your Knees to Install It.
Color: White Size: Round Style: Standard
It took much more effort to install my previous commode seat and more effort to remove it than it did to install the new one. At my age it is not easy to get back up if I must get down on the floor, and many friends my age cannot be on their knees because they have had knee surgery. I do not have any built-in talent for putting things together or installing them; that is for sure. But I am considering patting myself on the back for installing this commode seat. After wondering why the silicone pads didn't seem to fit right and wondering how I would get the hinge lids to close over them, I watched the installation video and learned that the silicone pads go UNDERNEATH the hinge sections. After that revelation, I found the new commode seat quite easy to install. I just needed to hold the bottom part (called the nut, I think) while I used my little stubby screwdriver to tighten the bolt from the top on each side. The seat fits perfectly and is so shiny and white that it is a pleasant replacement for the old seat. This new seat does not have any sharp edges to leave lines on your body if you sit a little too long, and it is thicker than my old cheap commode seat so that extra height makes it easier for an old body to rise from the seat. This new one has two hinges that are NOT connected to each other, and I think that factor may help to keep the seat steady. My old commode seat had a piece that connected the two hinges, and after many years, that piece broke and enabled the seat to slide back and forth giving me exercise I didn't really want. I installed the new commode seat just two days ago so don't know how sturdy it is or how easy it is to clean, but so far I will give it 5 stars. And if you want to get down on your knees, maybe you would pray for the coronavirus situation, but you won't need to get down on your knees to install this commode seat. ... show more

  • Good quality product, easy to install
Color: White Size: Round Style: Standard
For the price, this toilet seat can't be beat. I ordered the White (not Crane White) and it matches perfectly. It came with the plastic screws and wing nuts and they fit and tighten well. Easy to install. The seat fits the standard round bowl nicely with a very slight overhang at the front (which is good - see last photo). It's comfortable with rounded edges (unlike some others in this price range and cheaper that seem to look like they have edges that are almost 90° angles). Very well-made seat. I would say it is going to be durable. Judging by the look and feel, it seems it will hold up well over time. One negative, though not a deal breaker, is the lid - it's very lightweight and it doesn't rest all the way up against the tank when lifted. The Seat itself is wood covered with a polypropylene material, but the Lid is much lighter and flimsy, probably all plastic/polypropylene with no wood. Because it doesn't lean up against the tank completely, whenever you sit down, the lid bangs back against the tank. Annoying, but not enough to want to return or replace it. Another easy-to-fix issue - the seat and lid were full of static electricity, maybe from the manufacturing process, not sure, but I bought some Magic Static Remover spray for clothes and sprayed it on lid and seat. Let it sit about 30 mins, cleaned it off with Clorox wipes and a damp cloth and, voila!, no more static cling. Overall, I definitely recommend this toilet seat to anyone not wanting to spend more than $20-$25, (I pd $20). Quality product, easy to install, fits standard round bowl perfectly, it's comfortable, and judging by the look, feel and weight of it, I think it will be durable and will hold up well. Happy with purchase; would buy again. ... show more

  • This is plastic and not a wood seat
Color: Biscuit Size: Elongated Style: Standard
i am sending this back. The description said it was a wood toilet seat and it is really just plastic. I am replacing a wood toilet seat. I realize that a wood seat is covered with a plastic type film, but this feels hollow and plastic all the way through. The front and side edges are extremely rough and the quiality is poor. You can even see the seam on the side edge. Dissapointed as it is not as it was described. ... show more

  • You Get What You Pay For...
Color: White Size: Round Style: Standard
This is a comfortable well built toilet seat, and believe me, I have tried many! Most of them crack or break at the screws / hinges, but this has held together so far. I purchased 2 of them and so far they are holding up. I am a big guy and broke many seats in my life. These cost a little more but are well worth it! When you add up the expense for all the broken cheap seats, I believe these will come out to less and pay for themselves in the long run! ... show more

  • Perfect.
Color: White Size: Round Style: Standard
I spent an absurd amount of time reading toilet seat reviews and finally ordered this one; I was concerned that it would be too big since the dimensions seemed to me to be larger than the typical round toilet seat size, but it was not. Although it is designed to exceed the edges of the toilet bowl slightly, it is very sturdy and does in fact appear to combine the best of the wood and plastic styles by combining the two. It seems to optimize the generally smaller size of a round shaped toilet seat with its slightly larger sizing. It is surprisingly shiny, and not at all matte, if that is a factor for anyone. Very pleased with this purchase - much better than flimsy plastic. Can not speak to install ease since it was professionally installed. ... show more
