I can’t speak more highly of these (seagrass, medium size) baskets! Every year, as a passionate home chef and entertainer, I discover new great things I can’t help but share with my closest family and friends at Christmastime. Sometimes it’s a particular fig jam, or a particular Shabu Shabu hot pot soup base I found after countless taste tests. Or a hard-to-find kitchen utensil that proves its mettle. Most I’ve found at local mom and pop brick and mortars and in-person specialty stores. Once, I even included vacuum-sealed slowly-perishable baked goods from my favorite bakery. Typically, about 5 things or so per recipient. This year, an amazing pair of extra virgin olive oils (one for hot sautéing and one for cold-drizzling) will be the highlight. But I’ve always just gift wrapped each item separately and given them that way. This year, I’m upping my presentation to match the caliber of my curations. And lining them with beautiful linen dish towels. This year’s acquisitions are still a work in progress, but once they’re assembled, I’ll try to edit my review with pictures! BTW, for my order, each basket was mailed to me in a well-sized Amazon box. Each will be the perfect size to ship the gift collections to my recipients once filled.

I have two of them and they are squished together in the space that is 12+ inches wide. The baskets are 6” at the top corners, but the weave makes them bulge at the sides making them each slightly wider than 6”. Luckily they’re a bit pliable and I can bake them fit.

These are sturdy and seem great quality. I ordered two of the same size but one came made of yellow metal and the other tan. The yellow metal is an eyesore. I don’t understand why they would be differently. So beware if you plan on ordering more than one. Now have to deal with returning and hopefully getting one that isn’t yellow.

This is a beautiful handmade basket. I used it create a gift basket with natural wild flowers for a colleague. I recommend this basket as a gift that your loved ones can keep for a long time.

I LOVE these baskets, they are well made and quite lovely. My only issue is the dimensions… the width listed on the size medium says 8” which is approximate NOT exact. The shelf opening I needed these for is exactly 8 inches and because these are hand woven they are just slightly over 8” and therefore unusable for the purpose I purchased them for. So I’m returning the 2 size mediums that I purchased and going with the small size baskets, since they will fill the space I needed with a couple inches to spare. I was simply trying to maximize storage space with the mediums. But the smalls will be sufficient and I love the look of these so I’m sticking with this design. I would definitely recommend just keep in mind that if you are looking for an exact dimension that the sizing could be increased just slightly do to the material and braiding design on these.
