The 1. 25 inch diameter high quality crushproof hose is highly flexible and durable, with a smooth interior which improves airflow. I have been on a mission to make the garage / shop space more usable. One of my pain points was dragging around the shop-vac when vacuuming either in the garage or the car, since the original hose was only around 6 feet long. Centec offers a few different sizes, but I opted for the 30'. This way, I can leave it where it sits in the garage and get to anywhere in the garage without having to move it. If I am going to work on the car, I can easily leave it near the garage door, plugged into power, and then just walk the hose around to get to everything. I was thinking originally of getting the 50', but thought it may experience too much suction drop. I haven't measured the suction loss between the original 2.5" hose vs this 30' 1.25", but it still seems to work and vacuum fine, so I'm not worried about it. The hose itself seems pretty flexible, but durable. Right now, I just store it by draping it over something in the garage, but may plan in the future to get a 'hose reel' to manage it better. If you're looking for a nice 'quality of life' improvement, a longer shop-vac hose is definitely on the list. and this Cen-Tec fits the bill just fine.

This hose is quite sturdier than the hose that came with my Craftsman 4 gallon "Clean n Carry" vac and it's smooth on the inside which really surprised me. On my Craftsman, and many other hoses they are ribbed on the inside and not smooth. Hoses with ribs on the inside have got to cause some air flow loss as well as make it easier for debris to hang up in there. When I swap back and forth between this 20 foot Cen-Tec hose and the stock Craftsman 7 foot hose, I do not notice any loss of air flow. The two fittings came un-attached but simply screw onto the hose. They have left hand threads btw. The one fitting fits my vac perfectly and the other one fits all the Craftsman 1-1/4" attachments that I have. A hose any stronger would have to be heavier. I find this hose have a good strength to weight ratio and I'm very pleased with it.

This is a good quality item. A definite upgrade from the supplied Shop Vac hose. It is much less likely to get twisted or kinked, which was a real problem with the original hose. The added length is great for being able to reach everywhere in my garage. Suction is as good if not better than before. It's not great to have to pay an additional $50 for a hose upgrade, but in this case it was a worthwhile purchase.

It fits my "Shop Vac" (a Ridgid shop-vac-like vacuum) that uses 2.5" hoses. The connector included that connects to the vacuum is tapered so that it'll fit anything that uses hoses sized between 2.125 & 2.5 inches. What you get in the box is the gray plastic hose and two black plastic ends that you screw onto the hose. They do not lock on or even stay particularly firmly attached from friction. The one end that connects to whatever tool you're using twists completely around so that what every orientation you need for your tool can readily be accommodated. The hose itself is surprisingly durable. Better than the hoses that normally come with a shop-vac-like vacuum by A LOT. Despite it's description, the hose isn't particularly stream-lined, air-flow-wise, and attaching it to the vacuum raises the motors RPM considerably as the motor struggles to pull in air through this 1.25 inch hose (half the diameter) connecting to a vacuum designed for a 2.5" hose. Air-flow is significantly impinged, so don't expect big sucking action from your monster 6hp super-sucker. The hose is fairly crush-proof and quite flexible. It's slick surface helps the hose to slide along surfaces, but the DEEP spiral crevice that runs the length of hose tends to try and snag on things, so it's basically a wash, sliding-wise. The length, combined with the great flexibility, are a welcome modification to the normal routine encountered while vacuuming with shop-vac-like vacuums. The hose is super-slinky and slinks right along, when it's not getting snagged on something Like I said, earlier: it isn't snag-prone, nor is it snag-proof. It just snags sometimes. With these few gripes aside, overall I'm happy with the product. It is doing what I need doing and saving me all kinds of frustration.

Worked great for cleaning our heater ducts! We ran a long string from one end of the heating system to the other (using a small RC car), attached the string to the hose, turned on the shop vac and pulled the hose through the ducts. Then we pulled the hose (with string) back and did it again... and again... and again. The hose was flexible enough to go through the floor register yet strong enough to last through the process unscathed. We got so much stuff out of the ducts - I was amazed. So glad we decided to buy this - we spent much less than we would have on a duct cleaning service and now we have this handy item so we can do it annually. YAY! Will also be useful in vacuuming out the cars! :-)

I use this with a old yellow Dyson DC14. I took off one of the ends, stick the hose on the top of the Dyson and it fits perfect. I use the DC14 like a shop vac and I did not like the constant tension of the self-recoiling hose. Use this Cen-Tec hose and it is relaxed and not constantly pulling the vacuum all over the place / towards you. It fits all the DC14 attachments also.

I have been using this hose for about a month now and it’s great. The quality is there - even the connectors have that attention to detail that I'm impressed with. I have a 15’ hose that weighs 5 or 6 pounds, and sure, the thing is strong (maybe indestructible). But it’s also very heavy and didn’t work well when I connected it to my hand sander – the hose pulled the sander off my bench and onto the ground. This hose is light weight and strong. I’m a big guy (270 pounds) and I’m always stepping on it in my shop. The hose bounces right back without any permanent squishing. I read in one of the reviews something about being like a pool hose – and that can’t be further from the truth. Great hose, great value, and I’m probably going to buy a second!

Purchased the Cen-Tec Systems Premium Shop Vacuum Extension Hose, 20 Feet for my wall hanging shop vac in the garage. The hose is a few feet longer, seems more flexible because of a "softer" vinyl material which may be nicer when pulling into vehicles. The ends are more durable especially at the connection point to the hose, which has a swivel connection point vs a rigid attachment point. Only used a few times so unsure on the durability but I can't believe it will fail under normal use.
