This unit is so easy to use I didn't even need the instructions! I tested the CD, tape deck and radio. I mainly bought it for the CD player to use at night. I love that it has a "repeat all" function. The clarity of the radio is amazing. I was able to tune in to all four of the stations I listen to, withoutusing the antenna. I like that the tuner has a digital readout. It made perfectly tuning a snap. I even played two tapes. One from 8th grade in 1986 interviewing people who had seen Halley's comet in 1910. It sounded the same as when we recorded it. The second was a mix tape from a KATUSA while I was in the Army in '92 that was a b-day present. Sounds like he just recorded it and it was CD sound quality. It also has a very small footprint. Takes up very little space. The only downside I could see for some is it doesn't have a lot of base. It doesn't affect me because I'm using it for sleep. The overall quality of the unit is great too! Nothing cheap about it. Definitely took me back to the late '70s early '80's when I had a dual tape recorder boombox. Has a classic '80s look to it, just smaller. I highly recommend it!

My old 'boombox' finally died and I needed something on which to play my old collection of cds and even my cassette tapes. This works perfectly. It seems well made and has quite good sound for the price. The only thing that keeps it from having 5 stars is how awkward it is to carry. There's no hand hold on it, not even an indentation for your fingers.

I searched for an all-in-one unit with easy-to-see and operate controls. It has both120v & battery power capability, and the sound quality was surprisingly better than the unit I replaced for an elderly relative with poor eyesight. It was not easy to find a unit that is easy to operate and work with, which was a Must-Have. The reasonable price was an added plus.

I bought this for my elderly mother to listen to tapes and CDs that I burn for her. From day one, it felt cheap and the power button wouldn't work to turn it off, you had to unplug it to shut it off. We quickly found out it doesn't play burned CDs even in MP3 format. It literally displays the word "NO" when you try. The sound quality is terrible and the buttons feel cheap. The only reason I didn't send it back within the window is because my mother "hates to make a fuss." But I'm so frustrated, I had to say something to help those who are shopping for a similar product. Skip this one and all it's hassle. Wish I had returned it.
