Bought this because its cute and has some larger drawers to fit things like little make up samples. It's not heirloom quality or anything... it is thin craft wood but I didn't have any issues with it. Some of the drawers might not go in and out smoothly but nothing was broken. I plan to use this every year for my teen. She thought it was very cute also.

I really wanted to love this advent calendar. One of the trees was broken upon opening but I was fine using superglue to repair the break. But as I started opening the drawers I found that many were close to impossible to open and I had to REALLY jiggle and maneuver to get most of them open. So much that one of the little knobs broke off. Again, I fixed with superglue because I didn't have the time or energy to replace. It's super cute but just not worth the money because of the fragility.

Shipping was well done. I would like to point out that the wires are in the way of drawer 4 and I taped them up more to remove them. I wanted a bare project to paint so I wish the decoration on top was not glued but I worked around it. One drawer is a different color that rest so that throws off the esthetic for me since I can't paint the drawers with the numbers hardly cut into. If the numbers are to be cut they should be cut be a larger font. I have every brush and still nothing was small enough for the thin spots. I love this design but the drawers are hard to open and some do not sit level. I am also a wood worker but I don't have a laser cutter. I would think using a laser cutter they would all be perfect sizes.

The media could not be loaded. We are Pagan and celebrate Yule (the ancient holiday that most Christmas traditions are rooted in!) I have been planning to make a Yule countdown/advent type calendar for years and this worked perfectly with a few modifications. Yule is Dec 20-21st (the winter solstice) so I did not need the last 5 drawers- I simply removed them and added a piece of wood with some dollhouse hinges to turn the whole bottom row into one larger compartment for the final day of the countdown. And used washi tape and stickers from hobby lobby to decorate! I also made the sticker on the bottom compartment myself on canva. I’m in love with the final product! My only complaint (and reason for 4 stars) is that the drawers are very difficult to slide in and out. You have to be careful or they could easily break. They get stuck and you have to wiggle and slowly finagle them to get them to open. Not a huge deal since each one only needs to be opened once, but just be cautious with little kiddos as to not let them yank too hard and break it!

Bought 5 of these and filled them for my grown daughters. We did a pj and wine and decorate night with Christmas music and movies. They are delicate and can break easily. My suggestion is to have a glue gun or super glue on hand. When unboxing. Some knobs were off and some drawers came apart. But were fixable with crazy glue. Filled with makeup; gift cards;;nice chocolates; Christmas novelty socks; ornaments etc. get creative! My girls loved opening each day!
