  • Great buy
As a real estate professional, a reliable financial calculator is something I use daily. I picked up the CATIGA CF-300 Business Analyst Master to keep in my briefcase, and it has quickly become my go-to device over the more expensive legacy brands. Why this financial calculator completely earns 5 stars: Packed with Essential Business Functions: This handles all the complex formulas effortlessly. Time Value of Money (TVM), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Present Value (NPV), and cash flow analysis are all incredibly straightforward to input. Calculating amortization schedules and break-even points takes seconds. Clear 10-Digit LCD Display: The screen is highly readable and crisp. The layout ensures you can see your data entry clearly without squinting, which is exactly what you need when dealing with multi-million dollar loan calculations or underwriting a property. Excellent Tactile Feel & Build Quality: The buttons are responsive and have a very satisfying click to them, which cuts down on input errors. It also features a sturdy flip-open hard case that snaps securely shut, protecting the screen and keys from getting damaged while tumbling around in my bag. Incredible Value: It does everything the major name-brand financial calculators do, but at a fraction of the price. The learning curve is very manageable, making it perfect not just for seasoned banking and accounting pros, but also for finance students or anyone studying for their license exams. If you need an accurate, reliable, and modern business calculator for the field or the office, the CATIGA CF-300 is an absolute winner. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Good Value Calculator for Accounting Professionals
I picked up this CATIGA financial calculator for my accounting practice, and I'm genuinely impressed with what it can do for the price. As someone who was looking at those expensive name brand models but couldn't justify the cost, this calculator has been a real lifesaver. The first thing I noticed was how solid it feels. The flip open hard case is sturdy and snaps shut securely. It definitely feels like it'll hold up to being tossed in my briefcase between client meetings. The buttons have a good tactile response, not too mushy or too stiff, and the 10 digit display is clear and easy to read even in dim lighting. What really sold me is that it handles all the essential financial functions I need for my work. TVM, IRR, NPV, cash flow analysis, it's all there and works exactly like the pricier models my colleagues are using. I've used it for amortization schedules and bond pricing calculations, and it's handled everything without a hitch. The learning curve wasn't too steep either, which I appreciated since I needed something I could start using right away. The battery life seems pretty good so far. It's compact enough that I can easily carry it around without it taking up too much space in my bag. For anyone in accounting or business who needs a reliable calculator but doesn't want to spend a fortune, this CATIGA model is definitely worth considering. It does everything the big name brands do for a fraction of the cost, and it's built well enough to hold up to daily use in a professional environment. ... show more

  • Helps you learn about investing without the big tag
I’m interested in investing and financial analysis. I found this calculator to be a great value. It handles the big concepts, TVM, NPV, IRR, cash flow analysis, and loan amortization, all without requiring pages of manual calculations. The buttons are responsive, the display is clear, and it covers far more than a basic calculator. Also, surprisingly the buttons are super clicky and loud like other calcs. The main caveat here is that this is a budget-friendly alternative to the industry-standard calculators commonly used in finance programs and professional exams, but that’s not its fault. If you’re studying for certifications or exams, verify that this model is permitted before relying on it. Many schools and employers are more familiar with the TI BA II Plus. But it is great for learning, homework, and practicing investment analysis, however, this calculator delivers a lot of functionality for the money. Disclosure: This review is part of Amazon’s Vine Program, which provides products at a reduced cost in exchange for honest reviews (taxed as income). I personally test all products, and my opinions are my own and uninfluenced. I hope this review helps with your purchase decision. ... show more

  • Reasonable for everyday professional use, not always an exam board choice
For everyday professional use, this does the job. It covers TVM, NPV, IRR, cash flow analysis, amortization, and break-even, which covers most of what someone in real estate, banking, or accounting needs day to day. The hard case is a nice touch, and the it includes a detailed manual, which matters for financial calculators where the workflow isn't always intuitive. The price is the appeal compared to a Texas Instruments BA II Plus. I have an elderly TI-82 I still use on occasion (old habit). Obviously, if you're buying this for a professional certification exam, always always always check your exam board's approved calculator list before purchasing. The CFA and CIPM exams only permit the TI BA II Plus and HP 12C, and the CF-300 is not on that list. The listing itself acknowledges this and recommends verifying with your exam board. For coursework, studying, and day-to-day professional work it's fine. For someone who just needs a capable financial calculator on their desk it's a reasonable buy at the price point. ... show more

  • The One That Actually Speaks Accountant The One That Actually Speaks Accountant
If you know someone who lives in spreadsheets and speaks fluently in depreciation schedules, this is the gift that says you were actually paying attention. The CATIGA CF-300 handles the heavy financial lifting most calculators won't touch, including time value of money, NPV, IRR, cash flow analysis, and amortization, without requiring a manual the size of a textbook to operate. The flip-open hard case with a snap-close design is a small detail that matters more than you'd think when this thing is bouncing around in a bag between the office and a client site. The 10-digit LCD display keeps longer figures readable, and the layout is organized in a way that makes sense once you've spent a few minutes with it. It's not a replacement for dedicated software, but as a portable, always-available tool for back-of-the-envelope financial work that goes well beyond envelope math, it earns its place on the desk. Students prepping for finance or accounting exams will find it covers the territory they need, and working professionals will appreciate not having to dig through menus to get to the functions they use daily. A practical gift that will actually get used. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • GREAT FINANCIAL CALCULATOR GREAT FINANCIAL CALCULATOR
CATIGA has created an amazing scientific calculator! It arrived quickly and was nicely packaged in bubble wrap. Inside the box, along with the protective wrapping, was a user manual. The calculator also includes a sturdy clip-on protective cover—clearly, they’ve thought of everything. In today’s world of computers, you might wonder why you’d need a calculator. I chose this one because it offers several practical advantages over using a computer. Here are some of the key reasons to consider this calculator: 1. Exam-approved – Permitted for CFA, FRM, and other professional certification exams where computers are not allowed. Essential for anyone studying for finance certifications. 2. Instant calculations – No waiting for software to load or building spreadsheets—just enter your numbers and get results immediately. 3. Portability – Compact enough to fit in your pocket or bag, making it easy to use anywhere—at the office, in the classroom, during meetings, or on client visits. 4. No distractions – A dedicated device that keeps you focused, without emails, notifications, or other interruptions. 5. Reliability – Doesn’t rely on internet access, software updates, or the heavier battery drain of a laptop. 6. Speed in meetings – Much faster than opening Excel or financial software when you need a quick answer during real-time discussions. This would be a great gift for someone studying for finance certification. ... show more

  • Easy to use, nice financial calculator for the price
I ordered this to have a dedicated financial calculator for real estate / finance type calculations, and so far I’m impressed. It feels solid in hand, the buttons are easy to read and press, and the layout makes sense once you get familiar with it. For the price point, this is a really nice option if you need TVM, IRR, NPV, cash flow, amortization, break-even, etc., without spending a ton on one of the older “standard” financial calculators. The screen is clear and easy to see, and it comes with the functions most people would need for finance/accounting/business classes or real estate math. I also like that it does not feel overly complicated right out of the box. There is definitely a learning curve if you are new to financial calculators in general, but that is true of any of them. Once you know what you’re trying to calculate, the buttons and functions are pretty straightforward. Overall, I think this is a great value and a good calculator to keep on hand for business, real estate, accounting, or finance work. I’d recommend it ... show more
