The media could not be loaded. We realized our two 100% indoor 6 month old kittens needed a structure they could really play on and climb high like a tree, so we ordered this Catforest tree which also fit the bill aesthetically for us. Unlike some reviews, we found the cat tree to be sturdy with minimal wiggle - I think you just have to ensure all parts are screwed on as tightly as possible. Watching the installation video was helpful, too. The platforms are not made of one solid piece of wood but rather pieces of wood glued together, but they look like they will hold up well and look fine. I thought the edges were a little sharp so I took about half an hour to manually sand all the edges. I also didn’t care for the rather skimpy felt grey stick-on pads so I bought stick on beige carpet squares like another reviewer suggested, cut them to shape and stuck them on the platforms for improved traction and comfort. We were pleased with the results! We waited a couple days for the cats to start playing on the structure, but I think they didn’t realize the platforms would hold their weight since they look like they’re floating. So I finally put the cats on the first platform, and they then took to the cat tree very quickly, and are now really having fun! Our cats sharpen their claws on the sisal pole and also sometimes use it to climb straight to the top without the platforms. The platforms are nice for a cat to sit and play on, but probably too small for comfortable sleeping (they have their Mau cat basket tree for that!) This is definitely more like a kitty jungle gym than a place to sleep unless you maybe get the space dome. However, it’s a great structure that takes up little space while entertaining and exercising your cats, and doesn’t clutter up your house. It’s also fun to see them playing up in the air where you can easily see them. We are very happy with the CatForest tree - one of our best kitty investments ever!

My cat doesn't like most scratchers but he loves this tree. I like it too because it gives him extra exercise. It also looks pleasing in my room. It was easy to put together and it feels sturdy. My cat is on the larger side (not chonky though) and the tree withstands his assaults every day. One of the shelves once broke off partially when he jumped down on it, but luckily he didn't get hurt. By the way it broke, I suspect I just got unlucky. I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me two replacement shelves!

My cat loves this tree! Cats love to survey their environment and be up high and this perch definitely helped her come out of her shell and be more confident. Now, it is cheaply made and I honestly don't think it's worth $100, BUT there is no cat tree on the market that is this attractive for the price. So I am okay with recommending it. Standard carpeted cat trees are such an eyesore, have a huge footprint, and look trashy so quickly. By comparison this minimal design is beautiful and space efficient not to mention giving kitty the highest possible perch. It was a bit obnoxious to install and I'm not looking forward to removing it but being apartment friendly is a great plus. As others have noted, the pillars are made of cardboard - they are sturdy for a cat, but if you torque them much when installing, you might be in trouble. Just be careful. Once installed I find this tree very sturdy. The sisal rope is not bound super densely, so my cat's favorite spots have become bare as the rope shifts on the pole. I will end up rewrapping the pillars soon and this along with the cheap construction is why I can't give 5 stars. I still love how it looks and recommend this tree to my friends. By the way, my cat is only 8 pounds and the perches are just big enough for her. She sleeps up there but has fallen off in her sleep once presumably because the platform is a little small. If you have a larger cat they will still enjoy this but may not be able to fully lounge on the perches.

It was pretty simple to assemble and install. I like that it is totally adjustable to your ceiling height. It is pretty stable but it does have a slight wobble to it but nothing that would make me think it will tip over. I would trust my cat on it but not a person for sure.

I had such high hopes for this product based on other reviews (and the price) but this thing is flimsy and dangerous. First, it’s super difficult to get it installed. It’s designed so poorly that getting it tightened to your ceiling is a feat in itself (yes, I measured my floor to ceiling height and purchased the right size) Once installed, it was like a taught rope at best. It would literally go “boi-oi-oi-oing” from side to side every-time something touched it. There is no structural integrity whatsoever! But the tension from floor to ceiling was TIGHT so we pushed it up against a wall for some extra support and gave it a go. Cat was apprehensive about the wobble, but did use it. Well, one month later- the whole thing came crashing down! This tree is HUGE so it was quite scary. It damaged my dresser and caused a whole mess. Luckily my poor cat is okay, but I am seriously disappointed in how bad this product was given the price tag. Do not recommend!! I
