Wow this stuff really works and works fast, very simple to use. We have orchards, chickens and cattle so flies can get quite annoying in the summer months. I put 2 of these out and in an hour there were a lot of flies in both. After 2 days both were loaded. But it needs to be away from areas where you relax or kids and pets around. IT REALLY STINKS!!! You do not want to get that liquid on anything, especially your kids or a curious pet. My only dislike about it is the cap. OK, this fly trap attracts flies and kills them, a ton of them. But as long as you have it up and going there will continue to be flies because they are attracted to this fly trap. The flies will keep coming. The smell is hard to tolerate. We had it going for 5 days and a ton of flies were trapped and killed which is SUPER GREAT! The smell is really strong and offensive, even to the neighbors if they are close by. So it kills tons of flies and has a sickening smell. We have vultures in the area too and they could be attracted to the fly trap as well. ... show more

For the amount of flies attracted, this product definitely is not worth the fowl smell it produces. If you decide to try it pit it far away from any place human traffic will be. Ultimately I had to cap the jar off and opt for another product that trapped flies far better than this product and zero fowl smell. I left this product out for weeks, it was not worth it a total waste unless you only have maybe 30 flies attracted best…literally. More flies buzzing around outside the jar than going inside it. ... show more

We have chickens, ducks, and turkeys. So we have a lot of flies around. The traps themselves catch flies. But we believe the bait inside could be better. We have used similar products, with a different smelling bait, and within 48 Hours those traps will be "FULL"!! This trap in 5 days was not even 1/4 of the way full. The other ones we use, we buy from Tractor Supply. You can purchase the bait that we use also here on Amazon or from Tractor Supply. It is made by Star Bar, and is in the photo. The bait from Tractor Supply is made out of bone marrow, and smells like rotten meat. It really attracts the Flies! This bait, in our opinion, smells more like weak dog poop 🤮🤮, And just does NOT work as good as the other baits we buy from Tractor supply. If you have a small fly problem, these might work for you. If you have a huge fly problem, because you have livestock, or fowl like we do, I would not recommend the bait that this comes with. ... show more

Put both of these up in the backyard and when I went back out after 30 mins or so to check on them - Both already have like 50 flies in each! No flies flying around the outdoor patio couches or sitting area! *My only concern was the wire to hang them from, it's not very strong, with wind blowing, it moves a lot and I was fearful of it falling down - I had a shoestring that works much better and now I'm not worried about it breaking. So far, we've had these in two areas of our side and back yard. We have used them for 4 days so far. They are STILL catching flies....seems like more and more each day! Another reviewer said she used it for one day and tossed it because of the smell....well, THAT was a waste of money, because they really work for many, many days! Yes...they're stinky......but....we have reclaimed our yard once again!! ... show more
