Wow this stuff really works and works fast, very simple to use. We have orchards, chickens and cattle so flies can get quite annoying in the summer months. I put 2 of these out and in an hour there were a lot of flies in both. After 2 days both were loaded. But it needs to be away from areas where you relax or kids and pets around. IT REALLY STINKS!!! You do not want to get that liquid on anything, especially your kids or a curious pet. My only dislike about it is the cap. When you open it up it slides down into the closed position unless you hang it up. Also if your yard is small with limited air circulation the smell might be overwhelming.

Monsoon season in Arizona-----means FLIES and the DEER FLIES those are the one's that bite--and it HURTS TOO----------Loved this product--easy set up-no mess--color blue--Perfect to lure them in---EASY TO EMPTY--Whether in Garbage bag or Shovel digging hole in earth to bury them............my only wish is that you would make a GALLON SIZE----as I have a Corral and Pasture too-----This Product works GREAT--be sure and not place to your home--you want to LURE the FLIES away from your HOME-------and THAT REALLY makes a HUGE Difference! Would buy again without any hesitation.......the blue also makes it not as UGLY as the other products on the market---I use it around my outer perimeters of my garden too--

For the amount of flies attracted, this product definitely is not worth the fowl smell it produces. If you decide to try it pit it far away from any place human traffic will be. Ultimately I had to cap the jar off and opt for another product that trapped flies far better than this product and zero fowl smell. I left this product out for weeks, it was not worth it a total waste unless you only have maybe 30 flies attracted best…literally. More flies buzzing around outside the jar than going inside it.

I have a small farm with 3 horses. I bought these because I was using a Captivator trap and it was working really well, but I needed a few more. These were a few dollars cheaper each. Here is what I found: The pros: They work well to catch flies. Decent price The blue jars means you don't have to stare at dead flies as much The top that lets flies in can be "locked" open or closed The cons: They are much smaller than the Captivator traps so they need to be refilled more frequently Jars are flimsy Caps do not screw on well (but they did seem to hold, even if a little off-kilter) Blue labels makes it harder to see when the trap is full or needs to be re-filled. Stinky is an understatement- but this is true off all traps of this type, and what makes it work. Pro-tip- WEAR DISPOSABLE GLOVES when you handle these. These traps worked pretty well and did catch a lot of flies, but they did not hold NEARLY as many as the Captivator traps that are just about $2 more each. Also, the small size and amount of water means these traps dried out quickly this year and the bait had to be refilled more often.

OK, this fly trap attracts flies and kills them, a ton of them. But as long as you have it up and going there will continue to be flies because they are attracted to this fly trap. The flies will keep coming. The smell is hard to tolerate. We had it going for 5 days and a ton of flies were trapped and killed which is SUPER GREAT! The smell is really strong and offensive, even to the neighbors if they are close by. So it kills tons of flies and has a sickening smell. We have vultures in the area too and they could be attracted to the fly trap as well.

Put both of these up in the backyard and when I went back out after 30 mins or so to check on them - Both already have like 50 flies in each! No flies flying around the outdoor patio couches or sitting area! *My only concern was the wire to hang them from, it's not very strong, with wind blowing, it moves a lot and I was fearful of it falling down - I had a shoestring that works much better and now I'm not worried about it breaking. Other than this, brilliant product!

The top did not stay up. We wound up having to prop it open with a rock. Smelled awful. Because it is blue you can’t really tell if the flies even were going in. We’ve used other products before and caught dozens of flies and eliminating our problem. Unfortunately this did not get the job done.
