    • Fantastic competitor to Lifeproof / Otterbox
Ever since phones have become more and more water resistant, I haven’t used a Lifeproof case since my iPhone 5S and—although it was the last iPhone to not be IP-rated—didn’t bother getting one for my 6S Plus due to the price. By the time I upgraded to my XS Max, cases like Lifeproof and Otterbox have become obsolete to me as I personally don’t require such rugged cases. But, recently I have begun swimming a lot more and want to begin taking more underwater pictures. But, now that I’m onto my iPhone 14 Pro Max, I would rather not take any chances of ruining my glorified $1,200 metal slab. So, turning back to the realm of high-durability waterproof cases, I’ve never heard of Catalyst before and decided to take a chance with them. So far; I have no complaints. The case is overall very similar to something Lifeproof would make. The screen protector feels thin and makes easy contact with the screen yet durable and certainly scratch resistant. Although I prefer the button switch style, the rotating mute switch is nice and easy to use. While the buttons feel much more rubbery and loose a lot of their tactile feedback, aspects like the hard plastic back make up for it and the added lip near the bottom makes it much easier to take off which is a huge bonus for me considering I won’t be using this as a daily driver. Other than that, it feels and looks very similar to a Lifeproof case. I’ve taken it diving once so far and the phone itself was bone dry when taking it out. The rubber flap and the fat O-ring around the casedid a great job at keeping the water out and it worked perfectly fine while diving. I'd give this case a 5 star because the case is the BEST waterproof cases iv'e ever used .. but it came without the lanyard :-(

This case does a great job at sealing your phone so water doesn’t get in. The case has a rubber seal around it when you clip it on. And has a a rubber seal for the port at the bottom. The screen protector is very responsive when the phone is inside. It also has a wrist handle that you attach so that if you take it in the water you won’t lose. You can adjust it so it fits more snug around your wrist. Overall love the case. It will protect your phone in the water and help you from not losing it either. ... show more

    • Screen did not lay flat like claimed and it showed wear easily
Every morning I’d have to open the charge port and push the screen down to get it to work without feeling like the screen wasn’t bubbled up. It started showing wear on the rubber with light use within the first couple weeks. Returned and went with another similar company.
