I recently purchased the Cat Toys Roller Tracks for my indoor cat, and I must say, it's been a hit! First, I have an older cat almost 4 years old; and a 9-month-old kitten. When I put it on the floor, the older cat checked it out, but that kitten played with it for 30 minutes. Of course, I supervised because the kitten did try to eat off the mouse fur. After about three minutes, I gave that mouse a haircut and then cut off the tail. After the kitten grew tired, then the older cat played with it for about 5 minutes. It is not the sturdiest item, as the kitten pulled it around the floor and under the table, too bad it didn’t come with a suction cup for the floor. Also, I am sure they will get that ball out of there; because with every toy with a ball, they have managed to get out the ball. So, I just put it back. Well worth the money. However, if your kitten is like mine, I would supervise them at first to see if they try to eat the fur of the mouse.

The media could not be loaded. Absolutely love this! I was having issues with my kitten attacking me and misbehaving because of being bored no matter how much attention I gave him. I set this down and within seconds he was playing with it, and played with it for half an hour. Every time I turn around he's playing with this toy, and I am not having as much trouble with him.

I had a very young kitten drop into my life from a tree in our backyard, and she's still here! This toy was one that I bought for her entertainment. She really enjoyed it initially, but she plays with it less than expected now. It could be that she just has too many options, and she prefers the toys she can chase around as opposed to something that has to be played with in one spot. The battery-operated mouse was a hit though, and when I first saw her playing with that, I thought that this toy was worth buying just for the bonus mouse. Part of what makes it so good is that it will stop and change direction when batted around, or if it bumps into a stationary object, like a wall or piece of furniture it stops and changes direction. It works better on a hard surface floor than carpet though. Battery life can be an issue. It does have an on/off switch. Even though my kitten doesn't play with the toy as much as some others now, it's still a nice toy that provided different types of stimulation, and I'll keep it around for her for the time being as long as it gets used once in a while.
