My furry child has more scratching posts than the average kitty. He’s spoiled and fussy but when he finally likes something, it’s a miracle. This one is definitely his favorite of all time because of the wide diameter and heavy base. It’s tall enough to get in his longest stretch and more climb-able than some of his condos and trees. His other older posts sometimes tip over when he gets carries away, get shredded because it’s constructed of cheap materials, or sit and gather dust because he won’t touch them. This ultra premium post stands firmly. Very sturdy. It came ready to assemble in few pieces and so intuitive that you really don’t need instructions. Each of the pieces are hefty. I’m certain that it will last a good long time. At first I thought that I might have to sprinkle catnip on the main section to lure him to use this post. Nope, not necessary. We have two grown cats (one is over 17 lbs) and needed a larger scratching post. They both love this one. You'll notice in the pic the toy is now detached from the string lol I've had it over a month now and it's in decent shape. The post has not ever been knocked over, but will wobble a bit when the big one is going to town on it. One area of improvement might be thicker rope as it's already separating in the mostly used area. But besides that, im happy with my purchase. ... show more

Easy to assemble and nice and tall, my cat loves to stretch out on it, she also can climb on it. Pom pom at the top is a fun feature too. Really satisfied with this, it's hard to find a good scratching post on Amazon the photos can be deceiving in my experience. This one is wonderful.

My cats love this and I do too. It is very sturdy which was the problem with our other scratchers. They would become wobbly over time and be a problem. This one has 4 bolts in the base and a nice wide design that keeps it stable when being scratched.
