This cat scratching furniture protector is definitely doing the trick by protecting our couch corners from our cat's claws. The material is sturdy, and it stays in place well. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is that I wish there were more color options to better match the rest of my furniture. That would make it perfect for blending in with different décor. I've purchased both the short and long versions, and they work and look great. These pads work well with corners, and covered up the existing damage. At first my cat did not want to scratch them, but eventually came around to using them. Either way, it's a win-win while covering up the damage. The little thumbscrews take some practice but once you understand the motion needed, they're easy. They leave strain on your fingers afterwards, but easy to latch in. I've found that screwing them over the 'hump' of the weave is easiest. The same amount of screws are sent per pad whether it's big or small. I put these on my brand new mattress I bought almost a year ago. They work well. I would recommend that you guys add a little teeny tiny screwdriver to help insert them into the mattress or whatever furniture you're using this on

Looks great on the end of my couch, but my cat wants to bite the pins that hold it in place to pull them out but he is using it scratch on so that’s good and it covers it. Old scratched area so the couch looks much better.

These pads arrive and install just as easy as they should on fabric covered furniture. However my GD cat is too smart for them(and us). Now that we've installed them on the corners of the couch that the cat seemed to prefer, it's moved to clawing at open areas of the fabric and I'd have to buy 38 of these and cover the entire back. So I guess the couch will die a slow painful "death by a thousand cuts" over the next few years. Equally as appealing, maybe the cat will adopt a new family in the neighborhood and I can donate these to them and I can just visit the cat a couple of times each week. ... show more

My cat loves to scratch at the corner of my bed frame & didn’t want her ruining the fabric. Bought these but didn’t like the spiral pins that came with them to put the mat in place. They didn’t hold very well. I ended up using fabric adhesive. The mats are long and sturdy.
