This is my second pair of these boots. They hold up well, are pretty comfortable out the box and are made pretty well too. All leather uppers, say they’re waterproof but beyond stepping in a few deep puddles and wet grass I can’t confirm. If you want serious waterproof boots you gotta get GoreTex anyways. The soles don’t have an aggressive lug pattern which I like cuz these boots don’t pick up a lot of mud and debris. I like the covered toe part which is like a rubberized fabric. Which will wear through after a while so if you’re on your knees a lot they’ll wear out after a while. Good heel support and decent arch support. Get yourself some good insoles, no boot company I’ve seen gives you good insoles with the boots they’re all a joke. Get the best ones you can find cuz they’re worth it. The eyelets some people don’t like cuz they can break, the top lace hook popped out on mine but I don’t need it. The laces are like paracord, and seem to last longer than normal but not the life of the boots unless your working indoors. All in all if you can find these for under $90 Is grab em. Plus, they do look pretty cool I think. ... show more

Ive tried several mid-priced work boots over the years. I settled on Wolverine moc toe 6 inch loader. they would last 5-6 months. They never really fit well after a couple of months. At the end of their life, because of the way walk & wear the heels, they would tear up my knees and hips That's how I knew they needed replacement. These CAT boots are awesome. Great fit. Got them today and wore them around our acreage. So far very comfortable and fit just right, I wear a 14 wide and finding boots is sometimes hard. I have a bad knee and it seemed to help. What I like is it is flexible when I walk. I work construction and need good support and good traction but rarely need a steel toe, I have another pair of those when I need that protection. I only hope they don't fall apart and are warm enough in the cold mountains I live in. But then again you can not expect one pair of boots to work in any situation and any time of the year. ... show more

He has not worn them yet, as our winter weather in northwest Ohio has not been very harsh, but the Farmer's Almanac is predicting a very cold and snowy winter for 2023-24. I wear a very large plastic leg brace on my left foot/leg and now have to buy all new shoes since the surgeon said that's all she wrote. So now I have to buy shoes a size larger and wider. I need shoes that the laces start way down near the toe so I can pull out the tongue to fit this foot/leg brace in. The tongue is gusseted but does allow me to pull it out far enough to fit. I was pretty relieved. I haven't worn these outside yet but they do allow me to wear the leg brace with the boot. I just walked around the house with them. I will use these in colder months and when I have to clear snow. I normally wear a size 10D but with the leg brace it's 11W. My right foot isn't sloshing around too much and I figure with bulky socks it should also be ok. ... show more
