This Cat 8 cable is sturdy and appears well made. It has an advantage over flat cable in that it has double shielding -- each wire is individually shielded, plus there is a second shield encircling all of the wires -- an advantage when routing near AC wiring and other sources of interference. It also significantly increased internet speed over my previous set up which used Ethernet "bridges" to get the internet signal from my non-wireless router in the basement to the wireless router on the main floor of the house. Ethernet bridges use an interesting technology from the 1970s that piggybacks Ethernet information across household 120 volt electrical wiring, easily allowing one to have a non-wireless connection to a router on the other side of the house. Although the Ethernet bridges I have are rated at 100 Mbps, replacing them with this Cat 8 cable more than doubled throughput between the two routers even on a 100' cable. It was convenient that tie wraps and cable anchors were included in the package, although the cable anchors are purposely slightly larger than the diameter of the cable making for a saggy installation. The cable connectors had plastic covers, a much appreciated feature when feeding them up through subflooring and carpet. I'd give this Cat 8 cable thumbs up in all respects.

I received my Zosion Ethernet Cat8 cables in EXCELLENT condition & got them in EXCELLENT time. The Quality & Performance of these Zosion Ethernet Cat8 cables are the BEST that money can buy (THE REAL DEAL). The performance of these cables are UNBELIEVABLE for Video Streaming & Gaming at the same time (NO BUFFERING). The QUALITY of materials & Performance that the Zosion Ethernet Cat8 cable has is NO comparison to the other Brands out there. I have tried many other brands of Ethernet Cat8 cables & they all do work as described but, the Quality & Performance of other name brands do not even come close to the Zosion Ethernet Cat8 cables. I am currently streaming (IPTV) video @ 1080P HD with 4 different tv boxes (Formuler Z8) at the same time & I do not get any buffer of any kind. When I used other brands of Ethernet Cat8 cables I would get buffer on 1 or 2 of the tv boxes while streaming at the same time. With the Zosion Cat8 cables I get NO buffer of any kind. So if you want (THE REAL DEAL) cables then get the Zosion Ethernet Cat8 cables & you will see for your self.

So coming from IT I wasn’t expecting my internet speeds to change since I had a cat5 Ethernet cable and it’s able to push out 1 gigabyte connection. The cat8 Ethernet cable should be used if you have a higher connection speed than 1 gigabyte or if you plan on upgrading from a really old Ethernet cable. As for me I was planning on upgrading my internet speed eventually so it made sense. As for this cable it does what it should. Cable thinkness is great. Had no problems. Speeds are just a tad better than what my old Ethernet cable was pushing out which was to be expected. Great for gaming and other activities needed for internet. I’d say this is a great product and works as it’s intended.
