Nice decorative crate for your home. If your dog is crate trained (obedient/calm) this crate is for you. If you have a dog that loses its mind inside a crate and tries to chew it’s way out. This is not the crate for you. That is not a negative comment towards the crate manufacturer. It’s just truth. A medium to large size dog can chew it’s way through the wood. That same dog has the capability of chewing through a plastic crate as well. I saw a lot of people in the reviews speaking negatively about the crate because their dog chewed through this crate. Didn’t think that was fair. In regards to sturdiness, It could be better. That said, to be fair, it would take sturdier materials and would cost much more money. Works fine for my (crate trained) 70lb. Shepherd.

We purchased the XL for our three corgis, so they can all sleep together (they love to be cozy!) and it is the perfect little den/cave for them, but looks very classy in our bedroom. No issues with them chewing on the wood, etc. They like it and so do we. As some mentioned, I do wish the latch was a little stronger, but it works for our three stooges! Also, I wish it had an additional door on the side of the crate so you have the different options on how to place it (lengthwise vs widthwise) but we just make it work for us and for them.

I shopped around for crates for a while and I was told by a friend that they had this same one that it was pretty good. As soon as I received the package I could hear the screws bouncing around. Once I opened it, I inspected all pieces and had to tear the box completely apart to find the missing screws. Sure enough there was a few pieces that had damage. One was the one that held the door from going all the way back. The other scratches were where the screws go in and the bottom piece had broken pieces. The instructions were easy to follow and it took me about 40 minutes to put it together. Everything was well labeled and pictures were very clear. Once I put it together it looked really nice my only problem is the door latch. Not strong and the sturdiness of the crate doesn’t seem sturdy. I will definitely have to come back after a month or so to update it. I have a pug and I feel like he will scratch it up or brake the door latch way too easy.

Do not use an electric screwdriver or drill! Only use a hand operated screwdriver. Pros: 1. Looks very nice. Easy to assemble and disassemble. Sturdy enough to use as a side table. Cons: 1. Door construction does not take into consideration possible chewing. Could have used some type of metal screen or grate to help prevent possible chewing by dogs. 2. Not the best construction and could use more support brackets. 3. Screws can easily strip the holes as the wood is soft. I do not recommend for anyone with a puppy or dog that chews. I feel it is over priced for the quality of product it is.

Love this kennel/end table-most solid furniture kennel we have ever bought! They did not drill one of the holes for the hinges and the hinge hardware doesn’t seem to be all there but we are putting our own hinges on because we love it otherwise. This was the last step in assembly so….
