After reading the reviews describing this rug as “beautiful’ and “gorgeous,” I’m disappointed. In person, the printed pattern of this rug is somewhat blurry, and it is quite thin—it’s really more of a mat. The texture is weirdly soft (perhaps OK for a bathroom, but I had purchased for my kitchen, where I’d wanted something with more substance.) I have been looking everywhere for a washable runner rug in this size with these colors that was also washable and nonskid (most are too long, not the right colors, or aren’t washable). This seems impossible to find, so I was initially happy to find this. But this is not what I had hoped for. Gets two stars because it is nonskid and washable (I assume—haven’t tried that yet), but this is neither beautiful nor gorgeous. It’s odd and cheap-looking. I have to decide whether to return this, or to make do with it while I keep looking. ... show more

The colors in this rug are stunning. I’m in the middle of redoing my dining room and it goes with all my stuff. I am not the biggest fan of it being folded it causes the folds to show for a good amount of time but other than that I think it’s great.

    • Beautiful, soft and machine washable!

The washable rugs are new to me, and I didn't know what to expect. I was surprised that this rug was so lightweight and foldable. That's pretty unique for a rug of this size, but leads to the question of how well it will function on the floor. I was afraid it would be slippery and hard to manage, and without rug padding. Once I added that to the equation, this became the perfect rug. I love that it's machine washable because any good rug that comes into the house automatically becomes on of the dog's many beds. He rotates throughout the night, starting on his dog bed, then moving to the rug by our bed, then up onto our bed, then upstairs to the hallway rug, then back down to the living room rug, next up is usually the couch, then it's the rug in the kitchen, and then, back to our bed where the nightly tour ends (most likely so that he can begin his usual moans and groans to discreetly wake us up just about 30 minutes before the alarm starts going off because there's no need in us going back to sleep at that point, which means he gets to go outside for his encore - the driveway. The finale is always on the outdoor rug on the patio by the side door, where he can easily slide back inside the house for some breakfast, which is usually followed by, you guessed it, a nap on the dining room rug. Needless to say, washable rugs are going to be replacing all of our existing rugs in the very near future. This one is so incredibly soft, so I think I'll stick with castage rugs from now on! They're irresistible and at incredibly fair prices. The fact that they're washable but still have the non-slip backing is awesome! You won't be disappointed with this brand. This is a very beautiful and very soft carpet that looks great on my hardwood floors. I love the non-slip backing and how flat it lies on the floor; the corners do not curl up. The edges are even and straight. The binding along the edge is very durable and strong. I don't have to worry about this carpet losing its shape nor snagging or tearing. I love how happy this rug makes the room at the bright colors are nice and vivid, but not overwhelming. The rug itself is super soft. This rug is absolutely lovely. The colors are bright and cheery and it looks just as good in person as it does in the product photos. The only problem I have is with the texture of the material which feels extremely soft, so it seems more like a blanket than a rug. The fabric seems to hold onto dirt more than expected. I do like the rug but I would have chosen a more traditional rug material for my office since it does get a lot of foot traffic every day. ... show more
